There is no one on his level besides Chris Davis on the FA market for 1st. Yet he's 3 years older and as streaky as they come. Freeman is the real deal. His wRC+ is 120, 115, 150, 141, and 133 the last 5 years and he's only 26. Sure, he has a big contract, but he's easily worth it, if he continues to produce.

Now I could fully accept if you think its not worth giving up prospects because you believe AJ is the answer at first. I say see what it costs and do it anyway if reasonable. Reed at DH & Freeman at first could be satly combo.

Freeman would be a slam dunk. Do it.
