I don't disagree with you at all, I just think you can't have it both ways. You can't allow the neighborhood play at second and then call guys out on replay when they come off the bag for a split second.
Honestly, more than the "neighborhood" play in my opinion is the 4-6-3 double play. Watch and see how many times the shortstop will come across and he does touch the bag...but before he's received the throw from the second baseball. He's on and then back off the bag before ever having the ball. See that all the time. It's looks so graceful and perfectly executed though nobody ever says anything about it.
