I want to see them as much as everyone else, but this is a terrible idea. Especially Appel. If he gets rocked in his first one or two starts, that can do terrible things to a pitcher. Give them time and bring them up when they're ready. Its not worth potentially screwing up 1 or 2 key parts of the process

This is the truth. I am very against rushing prospects.


But this is a definite change of verbiage from Luhnow regarding prospects. He has always been adamant that he wants to see "mastery" at every level.

It's pretty obvious the overall team approach at the plate is terrible and widespread. Altuve popping everything up proves it. Who the hell is our hitting coach? And yes.. he should be fired already.

The most strikeouts by a position player in a row is 9, and the one Player tied for this record that can find was a bench player, and the odds of such a streak starting with the first strikeout in a game is only 25% so it has probably never been done in the history of the game.

Judging by fantasy, offense is pretty damn low across the board. The median Score in batting average in my fantasy league 10 teams, 12 hitters start) is like .235 right now, and theoretically these are only the best one-third to half of all players.

Typically, pitching is ahead of offense coming out of spring training. Take a while for timing of these guys to get up to speed of real-time pitching.

I'm not too terribly worried yet. Besides, we should get a nice bounce back series sweep of the Rangers.

That lineup is all sorts of ****ed up. Lowrie's plate approach is a lot closer to a 2 hole hitter than Springer.

Villar hitting ahead of Castro. Villar should be in the bottom two.

Gatti at DH with Marwin on the bench. At this point, the only explanation is he is going to let Gattis play his way out of this historically bad 3 games.
