Correct me if I am wrong, but if they want to move them down they are then placed on waivers. If not pick up then they are offered back to their old team. If not accepted then they go down.

It's right. The rule 5 player has to be on a teams 25 man roster for an entire year for the new team to get his rights.
If they want to remove the player from the 25 man roster before that one year period expires, he has to be placed on waivers, where all other teams can claim the player and step into the previous teams rights (they get credit for the days he was on the first teams 25 man roster). If no team claims the player, he's offered back to his original team at half of the cost originally paid to select the player in the rule 5 draft OR the new team can work out a trade with the old team to keep the player, at which time they can transfer the player from the 25 to 40 man roster.

Braves release Wandy Rodriguez despite a 3.13 ERA and 23/8 K/BB this spring. Maybe a cheap pickup for a back of the rotation spot or a DL fill in?

I would be down for him to get back here... He was the only bright spot here for a couple years.

Yikes! So it begins...12 SOs through 8.1. Down in the first exhibition to KC, 5-0 but have guys on on 2nd and 3rd.
And Neshak and Gregerson gave up a combined 5 runs in 1.2 innings of relief work.

Really excited to see what Rasmus and Marisnick do this season. I have hopes that Grossman can be a key player filling in occasionally in the outfield. I'm still pretty concerned about the bull pen though. I expect to see problems early in the season. I have a good feeling Sipp will step up in a big way though

I think we surprise a lot of people this year.

I didn't know this until I found out yesterday, but if we lose tonight the Astros can longer sell beer at MMP this season.

How can you not feel great about 1 thru 5? Maybe even deeper if Marisnick keeps up his spring training #s.

Yeah...They would've lost the opener.
Is there reason to be excited about Valbuena? I don't know much about him but looking at his stats, he's a career .229 hitter. He had a good season last year, but that looks about it. Am I missing something?
I'm glad it'll be on ESPN tonight! Looking forward to watching the 2017 World Series Champions.
