Honestly, it should be as simple as not placing your kid in harm's way. If you're an adult, you accept the risk. If you're going to sit that close, pay attention to the game because you're one foul ball away from waking up tomorrow. But kids shouldn't be that close period.

Altuve better put it into a higher gear.

Edit: One way is to hit the ball where it is pitched. If the ball is thrown to the outside half of the plate, go to rf. Instead, he wants to pull everything.

I suck at estimating kids' ages but this one had to be 3-4 at the oldest. The dad was sitting with the little one to his left and two older boys (teens) to his right. Ball came so fast I doubt anyone would have been able to react to it unless you had a glove up and waiting.

Never had those, but I've sat at the higher levels behind home plate. I would simply prefer to not be behind a net.

As someone with a 3.5 year old this pains me to hear. I hope he's ok.
