Momentum swung back to KC last night. I'd say they pull this one out.

Hopefully tonight's game will be close and not a blow out like we've seen a few times this WS

I agree. Considering this is going to be a seven game Series, it has been mostly a yawner.

Madison Bumgarner. Never seen anything like that.

Gordon could've scored if he wasn't loafing around first.

Thats a nice lesson for the kids.

Madison Bumgarner will be very wealthy one day

I disagree. Just watched it again. He wasn't blazing, but he wasn't loafing either. Another step or two would have just opened the possibility of trying it and making the final out at the plate.

If Gordon was running full speed around first he would have been thrown out by 50 feet at home plate instead of 60 feet.

I was yelling to send him, but watching the replay it wasn't even a question.

Random side question that it made me think of. You've got one statistically bonehead call to make in Game 7 down 1 run with 2 outs:

Send Gordon even though he's on 3rd as the cut-off man has the ball in shallow left-field.

or

Had Perez not been hobbled earlier in the game, squeeze bunt with two out.

Both are obviously statistically poor moves, but I'd bet Bumgarner (or any pitcher) is a lot more likely to air-mail a throw to first-base with the game on the line (Sandoval likely not expecting it and not able to make a play on it either) than a shortstop would be air-mailing it home.

Ugg, wtf was Aoki batting in the 8th and a great big WTF was Perez batting in the 9th. I knew he was going to pop up. Can't believe Willingham never got to bat tonight when no one could figure out Bumgardner.

Bummed the Royals lost but it was a damned fun month!

Even better scenario:

Gordon gets sent home... throw comes to the plate and he's out by a mile...

But they send it up to the booth and call him safe due to the ridiculous "catcher blocking the plate" rule...

A rule created due in large to the injury to Giants catcher, Buster Posey.

That would have been adding insult...

.... to injury....

I'm gonna tell the giants the same thing I told them after they beat the rangers. You can take that trophy and stick it somewhere, no one respects your organization anymore than they did 5 years ago.

What does this even mean? They are the closest thing to a dynasty we have in sports right now. Just don't face them in an even year

Bitter "life long" Rangers fan.

Unless you're an effin' Dodgers fan, I don't get the hate for the Giants.

Is there a better way to spend an evening after a championship than wandering the city's most dangerous neighborhoods? I can't think of a better soundtrack than the sounds of sirens, helicopters, fireworks, and bullets. A good time had by all. Can't wait til 2016.

The area around Giants ballpark isn't exactly Beverly Hills.

Wasnt referring to that area. I agree, that area is barely populated.

I don't like the Giants but that comes from my childhood when the Astros were in the NL West (I also hate the Dodgers because of that). The Giants are the current dynasty in MLB - nothing you can do but tip your cap to them.

I also loved the way they handled themselves post game. It looked like they were all spent - celebration was not over the top and they were just flat our professionals. No way to hate a team with Pence, Posey, Panda, Bumgarner, etc., etc., etc.

Still can't believe it. With all the injuries I never would have thought the Giants would even make the playoffs this year. When Pagan got hurt early June, the Giants lost a big West Division lead and then had even more injuries the rest of the year that really hurt the team. Yet they won a wildcard spot....It was a crazy year.

Oh, the injuries. Scutaro was to be the starting 2B. He played 1 game. Starting CF Pagan missed most of June, July and August and then had season ending surgery in September. Belt and Morse missed a lot of time, as well (3 trips each to the DL?). And, of course, workhorse #2 starter Matt Cain went down to season ending surgery. And then there's Timmy having only 1 good month (with a no hitter), but ending the season as the #6 starter (for $20 million).

But the young guys came up and performed late - especially Panik. So glad that Panik came up late and took over 2B. I think we've found our 2nd baseman! So glad he's a Giant.
