With the stuff he had last night, he would have beaten anyone. We didn't do ourselves any favors by swinging at pitches way out of the zone, but a lot of that was because he had so much movement on them. He may not have had a perfect game into the 9th against a team like the Angels, but he was lights out

Just making sure I wasn't crazy. I live with Ranger fans and didn't want to be that one bitter Astro fan. That was one of the best performances I have seen, and I was worried how the night was going to go if he kept up that first inning filth.

He would have won a against 95% of teams last night.. but he would have given up some runs. He threw ALOT of crap out of the zone. the Astros have been 100% aggressive free swingers to open the season and he took advantage and was awesome. But good teams would have gotten at least 5 hits last night to go with about 3-4 walks. We bailed him out a lot.

I don't know what sucks more: our abysmal K rate or the boring and uninformative announcing by these Rangers announcers... I mean goodness. They are terrible.
