Sprains can be worse than breaks in some cases. Here's hoping he's okay though. In any case, Soler and Szczur will have to step up. Baez should also be back in a few weeks, which means you could put Zobrist in left and Baez at 2nd in some cases. At the very least, he'll help get some depth back if Schwarber is out for an extended time.

On a lighter note, the whole "is this the base?" pointing as the 2016 head rub is kinda growing on me. At least there's a goofy story behind it with Ben Zobrist, and not just a random goofy thing Welly or Starlin or whoever it was came up with.

on Opening Day, the first time Zobrist got on base after getting picked off he jokingly looked to the dugout and pointed down at 1st base as if to say "you mean this base?" because I'm sure everybody gave him crap for getting picked off

the next day David Ross doubled and pointed down at second base to mock Zobrist and it's just taken off from there...

No, I was expecting to be back home Memorial Day weekend for a few games but those plans have now fallen through. Hopefully I can get up there for some games this summer. I will be there in August for a couple Pearl Jam shows at Wrigley but obviously the Cubs will be on the road then.
