I believe they just bumped Lopez from AA to AAA. Hopefully he is able to emerge as a legitimate backup to Castillo in the future. One who can hit his weight at least.

What's everyone's stance on Shark? Trade or sign him? I'm startin to feel like I really hope they are able to sign him. He's putting together a great year.

The Cubs have jumped the Phillies and Dbacks and are no longer the worst team in baseball.

And oddly, they're 5.5 back of the wild card. There are only 3 NL teams 3 games or more over .500 in the NL. Plenty of games with the sub-.500 crowd coming up.

at this point, assuming Shark agrees to an extension, I'd keep him unless there's a deal that blows away the Garza return last year.

I'm more interested on what Hammel will bring back at this point since that's pretty much a certainty... I'm assuming it has to top Maholm and Feldman from the past couple years

i have a weekend to myself coming up at the end of the month and i'm legitimately torn between driving to Tennessee to see KB or driving to Chicago for the doubleheader vs Washington... maybe Theo will make my decision for me if KB actually gets promoted

but i can't believe it's even a debate.

I think there is a legit chance Bryant is in Iowa at the end of June. Maybe go there instead to see both Bryant and Baez .

Watched most of the game is he was just filthy. Apparently have made some changes for the better that have allowed him to realize a lot of the talent he has. He is going to be HUGE if the Cubs compete in the next few years.
