Saw a stat that before last night teams with a 3+ run lead heading to the 9th inning of a playoff game were 823-3. The other three games all happened within 5 days of each other in 1986.
One of those was the Astros/Mets NLCS Game 6 that the Mets won 7-6 in sixteen innings. The Astros blew a 3-0 lead in the top of the 9th. I was at that game. One of the most mentally draining events I've ever attended - a lot like the Tennessee game this past Saturday.Quote:

I've been thinking a lot about the weird recent parallels in this series. Game 3 was definitely a rehash of the UT game. Game 4 was Ags vs UNI. I'm still waiting for the Cubs to get a win like the SEC basketball tourney vs LSU. Make them give up and quit by the 4th inning.
