now THERE was a closer that could make you sweat it out on occasion.... one heck of a pitcher but he liked to put guys on just to keep you in your seat
It became an obsession with hours and hours of baseball cards and Strat-O-Matic.
Watching HSE after the Cosby show...
Then Nolan. Ohh how my Nolan man crush brought me even closer to the game.
My first MLB game was a rainy affair with the Chicago White Sox at Arlington Stadium...I must've been 8 or so..my cotton candy didn't last long and I couldn't keep score in my book because it wouldn't stop raining. The Rangers lost 13-1 that night and lost the next 12 games I visited Arlington. I almost started not wanting to go for the sheer reason I thought I was jinxing them.
It didn't matter I loved my Rangers. Love baseball....and man this is flipping exciting.
I only wish "The Sports Guy" was here to enjoy this with me. I keed I keed.

Haha. I used to work with Dan, Frankie. I gave him **** about that ALL THE TIME.
Also, this was when the steroid scandal was really getting steam, and he thought that 3 out of 4 players (pitchers and hitters) were juicing in the late 80's.
One of my earliest memories as a kid is hearing Reuben Sierra and Steve beuchele's name announced before they bat. I was at nolan's 7th no hitter and have a ticket for it. I think I was only 8 months old though.
