Most likely suitors, and approx money available TODAY... However, I don't think money is a factor at all. To James, $10 million is the same as $2 million in the context of his current net worth and how a better fit, chance at title, and him being happy is a much, much, much larger factor.

Cleveland. I think he would do Golden State if they could pull off an AD trade, but the Wizards held that up.

AD not going to the Warriors is a blow but I still think he ends up in the Bay Area. Fun to run it with some old guys for him… and I also think he'd probably rather play for Kerr than Atkinson.

Cleveland or Golden State with an obnoxious farewell media tour in tow.

Cleveland, easier to get back to the Finals coming out of the East. Get one more title for the hometown team and call it a career.

…. Also keep in mind LeBrons first mansion, which he still has, is a short drive from the Cleveland practice facility.

For a guy that's a bit older… that's more attractive too.

He wants to watch teams fight it out over who gets to retire his number so probably another new team he hasn't played for yet like GS

I'll be surprised if it's not Cleveland. It gives Bron the perfect out if he doesn't win a championship. 'I wanted to end this where I started.' no matter what happens instead of a perceived flameout somewhere else.

Remember when the Heat retired Jordan's # even though he never played for them? That's LeBron's new Mount Everest. Don't sign with a team, but have them retire your # anyway.

I would vote for Dallas to do it, because LeBron's "Decision" made every team want to see the Heat lose, and then LeBron played like a beetch in the 2011 Finals with the pressure on. This is not a slight towards the Mavericks! I openly rooted for them in that series.

I would love to see Lebron and Curry convince KD to come back to GSW and give the Rockets a couple of picks or swaps after all their old dudes retire and are in full rebuild.

I'll be surprised if it isn't Cleveland, but I'd love to see him in San Antonio. There's no way the Spurs blow those leads with him on the court.

I've been thinking Cleveland from the start

Ive found it comical listening to some of the talking heads creating excitement about LeBron potentially going to the GSW and acting as if they would be dangerously good. On paper all the names sound fun but it ends there. I cant fathom him going there if hes serious about winning a title. The following are their ages going into the playoffs next season

Jimmy Butler 37
LeBron James 42
Stephen Curry 39
Al Hartford 41
Draymomd Green 37
Kristaps Porzingis 30

So, win a title and go straight into an old folks home?

There's no championship waiting for that team. They'd get slaughtered in transition after the mid-3rd quarter every game.

Of all the teams that seem to be legit considerations, only Cleveland and Minnesota seem to be the two that he could have a chance at winning a championship but even then it feels like a stretch. SA, NY, and OKC are the 3 to beat and none are truly being considered. SA would be amazing since they legitimately needed a veteran last season to help that team in crunch time

I'm a Spurs fan so SA would be amazing, but I'm sure he sees it in a similar vein to KD joining the Warriors. He wouldn't want to cheapen his last year or two by winning championships with a nearly complete team, even if he is the perfect missing piece.

He's probably going back to Cleveland.

It's not about winning a cheap title. It's all about LeBron. He'd be second fiddle at best with any of those teams.

He's only going to go somewhere he can be the undisputed alpha in the locker room and get his boy there. That ain't happening in NY, OKC, or SA.

He's just going to have to reconcile wanting to be the alpha with his age. There will be another superstar on the team if he's going to win another championship.

Yep, and this is why I feel he's going to Cleveland. He'll have all the control there. He wouldnt anywhere else. He wont win one in Cleveland though. I think he goes to the ECF if he does which would still be a lot of fun at his age

You think money is playing a role? I see his situation as hes looking for a place where he can control things and have a shot to win it all. If winning was the #1 factor it would be SA, NY, OKC...

Pretty well documented he had a falling out with Buss and the front office. They want to move forward with Luka as the face of the franchise and LeFlop didnt want to play second fiddle.

If it was biggest bag, he would have stayed a Laker and with his son and dealt with it.

Nah, this really isn't about money.

His on-court "legacy" is already set. Another ring doesn't matter to him. He gets 5 to tie him with Magic, Kobe, and Duncan - cool. Doesn't change the fact that he's basically the second greatest player ever. That doesn't matter. No way he's going to Philly which would likely get him that easily.

He's looking for a place that wraps up his career that lends itself well to the inevitable documentary. Cleveland is what makes it nice and tidy.
