I'm sure the Luka trade turned the temp up to a billion for the entire league. Would've been a relatively quiet trade season had that not occurred.
I don't know. Milwaukee always wanted to get out of the 2nd apron. The Fox stuff started before Luka. The Lakers spending two firsts and Knecht on a center that has played just 83 out of 212 possible games was certainly because of the Luka trade.
I think there still would have been a good amount of activity because teams are trying to dump salary to get out of the aprons, and some teams like Toronto have to buy on the trade market because they can't sign FAs as easy. Golden State has been trying to cling onto one more run in the Curry era since 22.
Just the Luka trade happening makes everything seem enormous, but the top 4 teams in each conference aren't really doing anything.
