Definitely a successful road trip, but missing Ja probably hurt Memphis more than us missing Segun. He can be owned by much taller players given his close to the ground game, and Adams definitely seemed to hit the (offensive) boards more effectively than Alperen has. Udoka has been embarrassing Segun with early subs such that the home team broadcast has even been acknowledging it of late.

It seems like Segun is disadvantaged physically to most everyone he matches up against, but is more skilled offensively than most.

Fanduel still has Amen Thompson at +2500 for Most Improved Player. Norm Powell, Cade, Herro and Mobley above him.

Amen's January was 18.9p 10.6r 4.3a on 62% TS%. Plus over 2s and 1b.

Oct-Dec was 11.9p, 7.1r, 2.2a

They said after the game that the last play was for Amen and he got cut off so had to kick it out to Fred who I don't think by then had a lot of time.

This is a terrible trade for the Mavs. I absolutely would have opened the chest of assets for Luka. He would fix just about all of the issues on this team and we can hide him with all the high level defenders in this team.

I just don't get this for the Mavs

Watching the Mavs front office give Luka away for nothing really reiterates how good of a job Stone did in the Harden trade.

Reid is on Minnesota and a big part of them trading KAT was being able to pay Reid

Dallas has some draft issues in the future.

2027: Owes pick to Charlotte for PJ Washington
2028: Owes pick to OKC (swap)
2029: Owes pick to Houston (swap) but has the Lakers 29
2030: Owes pick to SA (swap)

That's a mess when your three best players are Kyrie, Klay, and AD.

Spurs gave up:

2025 Bulls 1st (top 10 protected) from S&T of DeMar DeRozan to the Bulls
2025 Charlotte 1st (top 14 protected, won't convey, turns to 2 seconds)
2027 Spurs 1st (likely suck)
2031 Minnesota 1st (one of 2 assets from the Rob Dilingham trade, also have unprotected 2030 Minn swap)
3 other seconds

No rotation players lost by Spurs. Tre Jones (3rd string PG) Zach Collins (15mpg center with 18M contract next year), Cidy Sissoko (GLeaguer)
