Go ahead and call your shot with Bronny. He won't be my "favorite" for rookie of the year but I think he has a career in the NBA that last longer than what the typical Lebron hater proclaims.

His summer league stats would indicate he works hard and plays defense moreso than the average rookie.

It's not saying a whole lot but worth mentioning. Statistically he's been better in the Summer League than he was playing college ball

Have you watched the highlights? He is lazy and hasn't been playing defense. He's been getting roasted for that moreso than his lack of offensive ability.

Most players selected 55th don't make it in the league or last. (Patty Mills shoutout though).

He will be gifted more opportunity, resources, and time than any player.

He'll either be great for G-League attendance, rotting on the bench for the Lakers, or playing with his dad as the Lakers win about 35 wins.

As a Lakers hater, I am all for Bronny getting as much playing time in the league as possible.

The South Bay Lakers open their G-League season on November 9th. Sometime during the first week or so of the NBA season we will see the LaBron-Bronny on-court moment of Dad and Son playing together in an NBA game. Once that has happened, they will send him down to South Bay to hone his game in the G-League, which he really needs as he is in no position to contribute rotation minutes at the NBA level. This would be fair better for his development than sitting at the end of the Lakers bench waving a towel.

Hot take, but I think it is painfully clear that he will not have a NBA career. His dad is the only reason he's even getting a shot.

Certainly the highest profile. Can't think of another.

Thannis getting multiple contracts in the NBA for the Bucks.

Probably a lot of front office nepotism with owner families that aren't as high profile.

I thought the Jontay Porter rule was taking these type of prop bets off the board? Edit: NVM - does not apply to him.

LeBron and Bronny are now the all-time father/son combined points' leader with 40,481 through the 10-minute mark of the third quarter of opening night.

Bronny's final stat line:

2 minutes played
0/1/0; 0-2,0-1,0-0, -5

And now it's G-League time!

Honestly, LeBron is the GOAT, and if you weren't already a believer, he proved it in Paris. The man is 39 years old and had the entire basketball world bending the knee for him over the summer. He literally dominated every game, and on a team filled with young stars like Anthony Edwards, when it came to crunch time, they were deferring to 39-year-old LeBron.

It was Steph Curry that carried that championship game in Paris. Everyone, including LeBron deferred to Steph.

They don't get to championship without Lebrons close out against Serbia. You know the one they were down 13 going into the 4th and he took over. And to the point with Curry that's what I loved about this summer. All the young talent getting put in their place by the two old heads. Everyone was writing these two off last season yet when the world is watching and it's all on the line they were carrying the game of basketball.

There were three old heads: Bron, Steph, KD

LeBron James 100% ran that squad and he was the only real constant throughout the Olympics. He did everything on the floor and in the locker room. Steph was terrible until it counted and him going nuclear against France was one of the craziest things I think we all have ever witnessed on a basketball court. KD was made huge shots and you can tell the younger guys gravitated to him. Going to be a sad day when those three hang it up. But yeah, that game against Serbia was one of the best basketball games I've ever watched and having all three of these guys make huge plays down the stretch was incredible.

As for Bronny, he's definitely not a pro. Not yet anyways. Could be a solid defensive contributor down the line, but his jumper is broken (despite good form) and he looks lost on the court when he's in. Nepotism definitely in play, but he could be the second-to-last bench guy in a year if he improves.

After Paris i was thinking how cool it would be to see those 3 give it a run in the NBA for 1 season. Going to be a sad day when they hang it up.

The best thing about the Olympics is that everyone comes out as a better player. Before KD got hurt, he was on a mission to start this season. LeBron notched, what, his third triple-double in a row last night? Steph is Steph. Ant knocked down 9 three's the other night. Tatum on a revenge tour thanks to Kerr. This happened in '08, '12, etc.

The only player who came out ****tier was Embiid.

Pretty sure the two GOAT-level Team USA players are Melo and Durant, too.

On the original Dream Team, it was Barkley that took over and dominated everything.

Your GOAT at 39… meanwhile LeBron who turns 40 in December just hit his 3rd triple double in a row, but go off.

People too young to see basketball in the 80s and 90s thinking that how a player plays in the last few years of their career defines their career and claim to greatest of all time.

When being at the top of league from the time you were 18 to 39 is defined by the last few years of your career.

Jordan is on of the best of all time but the longevity of how long LeBron has been able to play at the level he has is what makes him great.

Glad we are getting this thread some juice today Texags NBA has been quiet.

Cool, LeBron has been very durable and has been able to play at an extremely high level for a long time. He's still putting up great numbers on the mediocre Lakers teams of the last 4-5 years.

What they accomplished in their prime is vastly more important to who is the GOAT than what they did on non-contending teams in their late 30s or early 40s.

Are you going to try to tell me Karl Malone is a better PF than Tim Duncan because he put up 21ppg on a 47 win Jazz team when he was 39 while Duncan only put up 9 points on a 67 win Spurs team?
