It's a testament to wemby that a 20-win team was fun to watch for a full season.
Jamal Crawford: "Can you do the Crawford double behind-the-back shake and bake? Can you do that move in a game?"

He's so humble and confident at the same time. I never thought I would see a Spur that I thought could knock Duncan down the all-time list, but here we are.superunknown said:Jamal Crawford: "Can you do the Crawford double behind-the-back shake and bake? Can you do that move in a game?"

Been watching some videos and I'm not sure that Flagg is the jewel of 2025. Ace Bailey looks really good.Guitarsoup said:Agree.jteagle said:
Spurs went 9-11 in their last 20 games. Not so great for draft position but it creates great momentum and confidence going into the off-season. Considering this year's draft, the confidence and momentum may be more important.
Back to Point Sochan as we Fail for Flagg.
Wanna see 30mpg for Cissoko, Julian, Jeremy, and Zach.
I don't think that we are going to make moves to be a strong playoff contender. We probably sign a mid-level veteran free agent, make our draft picks, maybe bring back Mamu and we are probably slightly better than this year, but still in the lottery.Ag Natural said:
No team with Wemby will be tanking. We should be hoping for Atlanta to completely implode.
No.

There are a lot of different ways this can go, and a lot of different stars they might end up targeting, but they’re not going to be the team that meets Atlanta’s price for Trae Young. https://t.co/VB9VVza8IF

Next maybe but not this year.jteagle said:Ag Natural said:

I feel like they will trade some of those picks to move up if they don't have a top 5 pick.

Yeah, I don't know if you consider it tanking vs not trying to add the pieces to be competitive. I just don't think we do much to improve this summer. Make our picks, maybe sign a FA role player/veteran and run it back. Trades will likely be limited to shuffling assets around. Like move our two seconds for a future second or up for a late first.Ag Natural said:Guitarsoup said:I don't think that we are going to make moves to be a strong playoff contender. If they just played the whole season like they did the last month they'd be a play in contender. Factor in everyone getting a little better and you're officially NOT tanking. I'd love a move to bring in a Bridges but I'm not counting on it. Regardless, unless Vic gets injured at the Olympics this team will be very competitive next season.

Rough Warriors finale for Klay.
Will be interesting to see where Golden State goes from here.

It went from 'will Klay get more than $20MM/yr?' to 'I think Klay should probably retire.' really fast. It's amazing he was able to come back from two consecutive major injuries to win a championship but I think it's time for him to hang it up.
Agree. He's completely washed defensively, but he will make high IQ plays and provide leadership and spacing - things we definitely need.TheNotoriousP.I.P. said:
Klay in the Julian spot seems pretty nasty, wouldn't hate bringing in a sniper with championship experience to put next to Wemby/Sochan/Dev; especially if we can get a PG in here like Castle that you can have guarding the lead ball handler. Then you stick Sochan on the best wing and have Dev and Klay guarding the lesser guard and forward.
I think Portland may do Brogdon for Graham and Julian + seconds just to dump the salary. He has 22.5M for just next year.Sher Thing said:
Some ideas:
Trying to get our hands on Brogdon as a stop gap at PG would be a nice move IMO. I think he's attainable with all the SRPs that we have. Another guy that might fit this mold is Kris Middleton.
A couple of FA's that I would have my eyes on are Royce O'Neal and Simone Fontecchio. Gordon Hayward is another if looking for a veteran presence. He was playing pretty well before being sent to OKC this season.
Obviously this is all predicated on the fact that the Spurs aren't wanting to acquire any all-stars or hand out any monster contracts at the particular moment.
If willing to pay more I think Anunoby would be at the top of my list (if he becomes an FA). Monk, Quickley, and D'Lo are others I would look at. Wouldn't feel very comfortable over spending for them though.

Ranked 28th in net point differential (minus-8.5) before the All-Star break, they finished at minus-1.9, ranking 20th. Their improvement of 6.6 net points per game was the largest post-All-Star jump in the league.
So out 3.5 months on a 4 week knee injury.Enzo The Baker said:
