I hope you're right. We still have moves to make this offseason, so who knows what this team's roster looks like by the start of next season or after the trade deadline. Hope both Hardy and OMax are pieces for us next year.

Man I'm not even sure if the Mavs really need to do anything. This roster is good! Bring back DJJ, run this 9 man rotation back and I think we're competing for homecourt!

The move is to send THJ's expiring somewhere and hope to get a rotation guy. He should not be allowed to be on this team anymore lol. This will hopefully help free up some salary to re-sign DJJ, who has earned a multi-year, better than league minimum deal.

There's also Maxi who makes too much for what he is now. He is also guaranteed to miss several months in the season. I think he was the oldest player getting minutes on the team. I'm not sure he can be trusted to be available anymore. It may be time to move on.

I believe we will have 2 first round picks available to trade this offseason, so who knows what could happen with those.

I also completely agree with this and we should be one of the top 4 with Denver, Minnesota, and OKC. We were one of the best teams in the league over the last month and a half, so it's not inconceivable that we are jockeying for the 1 spot, especially if another move is made this offseason.

2) Can we realistically resign DJJ? I thought with the money he stands to make it's just not possible?

I think here is his best chance at playing and winning. But there is probably a bad team with a ton of cap space out there willing to give him $8-10 million per for a few years, based on his performance this season. Hopefully he is willing to take less money to stay here.

Liking Luka's energy and attacking so far. Looks like a completely different mindset so far.

Say what you want about Luka's *****ing, but the officiating is almost comically different so far in this game. If the league wanted to create the perception that they respond to player complaints this is EXACTLY how they'd do it.

Put a body on somebody. Need Boots to get out there and show those laggards how to close out a possession.
