I'm still struggling with the logic of the Roco trade.

They basically got back two late round first picks and the ability to spend 10 million in FA instead of 5 million.

I don't see how they are going to sign a player better than Roco with that money.

I'm not so sure. I think we already have a FA agreement in place, and this move was necessary to make it happen.

Bulpett has covered the Celtics for the Herald since the Bird/McHale/Walton years. I would bet he has pretty good sources there.

Now, he may be just passing on BS after the trade talks fell through so the Celtics save face on not closing the deal, but I have no doubt he has really good sources.

Yea, there are some exceptions, but its just funny what these "journalists" put out there or "are told to put out there" these days. Plus its hella-vague

We will never know, but it's not like what he tweeted doesn't totally makes sense. We have been sticking up for Harden for years, but all of this negative stuff coming out about him makes a lot more sense than the positive narratives we've been spinning around here simply because we like the way he plays ball.

Yeah, their taxes are crazy with the repeater tax. When they were discussing TheMarcus and 11 for Wiggins and 2, that deal would have saved them $50mm because of the repeater tax.

It's just a play to get on the good side of Twitter. Hoping to make people ignore that the organization has basically given him anything and everything he wanted for the last 8 years and he is in the process of ****ting all over them.

I'm sure tillman isn't exactly easy to work with, but James harden doesn't give a **** about who he supports for president.

I'm not so sure. I think we already have a FA agreement in place, and this move was necessary to make it happen.
I still think it was a move to dump money....in this swirling chaos, what good player would pre-agree to this mess?

If they aren't going to blow it up, I'd try to trade for Myles Turner. Maybe they would take EG3 and those 2 first round picks we just picked up.

He would probably be the perfect fit for the Harden/WB dysfunctional axis.

Eric Gordon doesn't have much value. 3y55mm guaranteed left for a 32yo shooter that hit .369/.317 last year. His Box +/- was -4 last year, which is kind of crazy for a team that won over 60% of their games and was a major component of the team.
