These refs are terrible
All of Hardens fouls were legit. He's lazy as **** and get caught reaching, hacking, pushing off, etc. he's an absolutely awful defender and a huge liability on that side of the court.

James and Russ combine for 78 including a great run down the stretch in the 4th. Nice to take a win in to the All Star break.
If Russ plays as good as he has the last couple of months the rest of the way....Rockets have a legit chance against anyone.

Russ deciding not to jack up 3s has shown a lot of maturity on his part. He did decide to shoot one last night late in the game that was an absolute brick. Hopefully that reminds him why he decided to stop shooting those.
There were a couple of really bad calls in the game. Two that come to mind was the refs split charge/block call. I don't know if we ended up having to use a challenge for that. But the ref who called charge needs to be slapped. And then the Covington blocked shot was awful.
Pretty sure Mike used a challenge because they did overturn that block/charge call. It was laughably bad.shano0603 said:

He doesn't need to shoot contested 3s in order to space the floor because he's so fast & strong to the bucket. He's a decent enough shooter that he should take wide open looks and fast enough to blow by anyone that doesn't give him cushion. He's also able to collapse the defense when he drives & is great at kicking out - like what should have been the game-winner to Tucker vs the Jazz.
I saw an article that says the Rockets are beginning to show signs of to becoming Russ' team. I didn't get a chance to read it and was wondering if anyone felt this way or not. Do you think this team is starting to become Russ' team?
Pros and cons if that is truly becoming the case?
Also, I really disliked Russ when he was on the Thunder - now I am a complete convert. I love the dude now.

I was flipping channels and I saw some talking head say that Russ and Harden are going to start feuding come playoff season over whose team this is. One of his counterparts swiftly corrected him but the fact that such an inane thought was even spoken astounded me

CP3 and Dwight are two of the more extreme personalities in the history of the NBA. Not exactly good examples to draw from.

Howard is a clown, but by all accounts harmless.
CP3 is known as a good leader. Still not sure exactly what happened there. They have both been pretty classy about it in public...which only supports the fact that Paul is not an "extreme personality". And if you mean hyper-competitive and abusive towards teammates that didn't carry their weight, Kobe and Jordan were super extreme.
Don't forget Harden ran McHale off as well.
And Kobe for sure kicked out Shaq from LA and Jordan damn near did with Pippen.
Yeah and I wish James was running guys off because of his insane drive to be the alpha and to win, but if anything it would seem like CP3 tried to be the Jordan/Kobe but couldn't pull it off as the far lesser player.Aggie09Derek said:

Harden is a sublime talent but who really likes his personality and leadership style? If you could magically give Harden the CP3 personality and leadership, not a single one of you would say "nah, I like James aloof and unaffected, let's keep him that way instead."

McHale was a terrible basketball coach and deserved to be run off. Never should have gotten the job in the first place.
Agreed 100%, but you're doing what we all do, which is stick up for James and HIS difficult personality because he's such an extraordinary talent.
No more difficult than Jordan or LeBron, who also ran off bad coaches...but have the rings to show for it.
My point is that I hope Russ "takes over" as far as leadership because despite being one of the best players of all time, nothing Harden has ever done or that has ever been said or written about him suggests to me that he's going to be that guy for the Rockets, and I hope that their friendship and James' desire to win is strong enough to withstand that.
