I argue that he was still drunk, not hung over.
James was fantastic in the first quarter and steadily got worse. Anyone who has ever tried to sweat our a hangover knows you get stronger as you go. In contrast, if he was drunk you might expect him to flourish while he was still buzzed, but as he sobered up he would definitely lose his mojo.
