I just watched a bunch of videos convincing me that John Wall is healthy and ready for basketball.
I feel slightly better now...

This seems like a terrible trade. They basically have the same terrible contract. That pick is a 2023 protected pick...That might be a mid round pick.
I'm not sure the rockets got really good value here.
I get that Russ is not the best "asset" in the world, but that seems like a really poor return given the invest made to get him.
Hopefully Wall magically returns to peak form, but I'm more worried he will get another leg injury that ends his career before he actually plays for us.
If Wall comes back as 90% as good as he used to be, it will be a fantastic trade.
The Lakers showing that the best way to defend Russ was to give him space and let him shoot or other wise make decisions on his own tanked Russ' trade value.

Looks like they are going for the nostalgic Houston Oilers look......

Also that pick is very heavily protected.
Yeah...a team that packed up their bags and left for Nashville.FDXAg said:

I can finally wear my oilers hat to a game and it make sense.Aggie09Derek said:FDXAg said:

That's exactly what it is.
I've already had several people texting me that they love it.
Why would you wear a Tennessee Titans throwback hat to a Rockets game? Doesn't make sense.Texaggie7nine said:I can finally wear my oilers hat to a game and it make sense.Aggie09Derek said:FDXAg said:

I think we are all just waiting to see what Wall looks like when he gets on the floor. If he is healthy I think we won this trade, especially with the fact that Russ wanted out, but that is still up in the air until we see it happen.ATM9000 said:
2 $45m players traded in what should be a blockbuster deal and 1 page of posts about it mixed in with hot opinions on Nike's latest money grab mixed in it...
My God this season is gonna be lame.

Even if Wall isn't healthy, if you want to contend you take this crapshoot every single time.

He had a preference of John Wall over Westbrook," Wojnarowski said on ESPN's "Get Up" Thursday. "In the last couple of years, Harden has moved teammates in and out. He brought Chris Paul in and moved him out same with Russell Westbrook now."
He would make a terrible GM....AG@RICE said:
Apparently James wanted Wall over Westbrook...
