When CP was healthy in 17-18 this team had the best record in the NBA and was up 3 - 2 on the Warriors.

Ideally, this team works like that team, with a younger, healthier, Tripple Double. 60 minutes of an MVP caliber player running the point, although in this scenario it would seem Westbrook runs the point more often when both are on the court. We shall see.

Bottom line is Rockets needed cohesion and I think this puts it in place at least between the two top guards on the team. CP3 and Harden were not getting along.

I dont think that's necessarily the case. Reports out of OKC was Westbrook was demanding a trade. If Morey could make the deal, regardless of how wel Harden and Paul were getting along, he would make it

I think it's crazy how tight lipped this was. Literally nobody knew this is how it was going to go down. Of course there was rumored interest, but with Morey there always is. Complete silence until the Woj Bomb.

I have to imagine Capela wont be interested in blocking himself out so Russ can pad stats. Hopefully that part of Westbrooks career is over.

They played together before and it sounds like this was their idea. Betting this was done for a while with Harden and Westbrook, just needed the teams to sign off. They want a championship and know they will have to work together. Cant be worse than what we had.

Westbrook and Harden will be two of the top-12-ish talented players in NBA next season. Maybe it will work, maybe it will be a total disaster (will either one or both be able to reasonably play off the ball?), but either way, the Rockets have my attention in terms of an entertaining storyline to watch.

Oh I agree it makes them a much better team. Without question. I've just hated Westbrook since he mugged Donald Sloan at UCLA. It'll take a little time for me to adjust to rooting for him.

It will be interesting and I hope it works.....but if Harden can't win with Westbrook, who does he blame this time. At some point the common denominator becomes Harden.
