Its definitely both and they are related. Melo was supposed to give us scoring and rebounding off the bench, but he couldn't really efficiently provide either. We were smart to move on, and we have a few good players on the bench, but we simply need way more quality.

I like Hartenstein's potential, but he isn't good enough to make us a championship team. Gerald Green needs to be at about 7mpg max and he has been playing almost 17 a night. MCW should be washing cars for a living.

In order to compete on a nightly basis we need a legit backup center and another big-time shooter off the bench. I think we should try to take Kyle Korver and Tristan Thompson with us to Washington.

Rockets bench talent is comically bad.

Pretty elaborate fake if so.

Rockets cap situation is going to be really tough moving forward to help the bench situation. CP3, Harden, Capela all with big deals. Really makes it hard to lure quality pieces to the team with low flexibility. Golden State has had a similar situation for a while but their starters are so good it really doesn't matter who their bench is. Plus players are willing to take small contracts to go there and win a ring.

We didn't use our MLE this off season. That could be a good role player

Danuel could provide quality minutes for us, I think

I have no idea how Danuel has been doing since leaving Aggieland but we need all the bench help we can get.

Speaking of old players...

Curious how Ariza and Ryno were doing in Phoenix.

Anderson is shooting 22% from 3. Averaging 20 minutes a game and 4.5 PPG. Feels like he is done.

Ariza is putting up his usual line. 3 point shooting is lowest it's been in his career but not by much and it's only 20 games into the season.

Would be nice to have on of Mbah a Moute or Ariza back to help with this bench though.

Not me. If CP is on the bench for the last minute of our win in Game 5 last year, we likely win a championship. If we don't make that trade, then we aren't even in that position. Kind of unfair to say things like that in hindsight.
