Remember all those SUPER IMPORTANT regular season games after clinching the 1 seed that we trotted out Harden and Paul for 35 minutes a piece for in the pursuit of some nebulous bs called "rhythm". Remember those on every front rimmed shot. D'Antoni needs to manage minutes better or get fired. These guys have no legs.
Eh. It could prove huge if we win tonight and then again in game 7. You could point to Home court advantage for that. Let's let it play out first. Harden does look gassed though.
Huh? Starters continued to play for multiple games AFTER home court was clinched. Lost Mbah Moute for nothing. Put extra miles on everyone's legs for no reason. I just don't understand it.
Minutes per game is a very pointless stat.
Try this instead: https://stats.nba.com/teams/speed-distance/
I could argue that there's a wear on the body and mind merely by being in the game. What evidence is there that distance covered correlates with fatigue? Maybe there is, I'm genuinely curious and happy to concede the point if so.
I think you would be making a better argument by discussing quality of distance. In baseball, 100 pitches isn't necessarily 100 pitches. If a guy goes 8 inning with 100 pitches and the innings are clean, he actually has worked pretty easily. If he goes 5 innings on 100 pitches, he's worked a lot harder and labored more.
You could make that argument here. Sure, less distance, but our two stars are doing the majority of the ball handling, so the distance they travel is harder work than say someone running more distance than free with th ball.
