The simple fact is that GS is the better team that Houston simply needs to play a near perfect game on Offense. You can't have Tucker, Gordon, and Ariza only get 27 pts combined on 6-24 shooting.
- Gordon played like sh*t in the first half. Reverting more to a hero ball kind of play that resulted in more turnovers than made baskets.
- Ariza played so passive. He had multiple opportunities with 1-1 matchup against Steph and he either deferred or allowed GS to switch from that favorable matchup.
- Capela does alot of great things, but he can't get beat that badly in rebounds. You can't afford to give GS multiple looks. Idk what you can do about this other than coaching up his awareness to box out better.
Also, Moute needs to go. The dude is burnt toast. Every minute he gets on the court, gives GS a +1 man advantage. His shoulder injury has crippled his game and he's officially a liability to have (ESPECIALLY on offense).
Defensively, obviously the name of the game is simply effort. You'll never shut down Klay, Steph, AND KD. It's not possible. But that doesn't mean you have to concede open shots. Houston needs to find a way to play a consistently high motor defense.
