Did you just lump the Spurs 2013-2014 championship team into the Heat/Warriors/Cavs group of Bought, Not Built?BallerStaf2003 said:TheMasterplan said:Hard to forget the most impressive NBA title ever won by a team in Texas.aggie7911 said:

It was the last NBA title won by a team not formed by superstars collaborating together.
It was truly a team with one superstar (Dirk).
They will probably be the last team to win as a total, pure team, as opposed to guys banding together, especially with the new salary cap rules.
"Definitely" better? No. Not definitely. Although I would tend to lean towards the Spurs roster being better between the two.AggieSportsGuy said:
That Spurs roster is definitely better and deeper than the one the Mavs had. Neither is necessarily superstar laden.
TP being 32 at tail end of prime still put up 16 and 6 and made all star team. TD put up 15 and 10. Manu had about the same year statistically as he had the previous 3 seasons prior. Kawhi averaged 16 and 7 and was playing like one of the best two way players in the league by the end of the season.
Both were worthy champions.
Same which I think is the big reason for the drop off in activity here for Dallas. Such a relief when that came we felt like we can finally move on in our life.True Anomaly said:
I'm just glad we got ours. It was the perfect year for redemption, especially against that particular Heat team

Eff it, I can't help myself.
38 year old Duncan
37 year old Ginobili
32 year old Parker
22 year old Kawhi (who wasn't even being regarded as a top tier player until he absolutely demoralized LeBron in the finals)
NOT TO MENTION we were back and forth trying to decide who to start between BORIS DIAW AND TIAGO SPLITTER.
^^^^^^^
Let that last part sink in for a minute. Diaw or Splitter was our choice of who to start next to 38 year old Duncan.
Some of us try to keep it going. I even renewed my season tickets for next yearObi Wan Ginobili said:TheMasterplan said:Same which I think is the big reason for the drop off in activity here for Dallas. Such a relief when that came we felt like we can finally move on in our life.True Anomaly said:

I think the drop of in activity was when Cuban wouldn't pay Tyson and broke up a championship team and Dallas slipped back into the world of mediocrity.
I accept Cuban's excuse that the new CBA was the reason for it.Obi Wan Ginobili said:TheMasterplan said:Same which I think is the big reason for the drop off in activity here for Dallas. Such a relief when that came we felt like we can finally move on in our life.True Anomaly said:

Pretty sure the 2014-15 Golden State Warriors were the last team. Unless you consider Shaun Livingston a superstar signing.BallerStaf2003 said:TheMasterplan said:Hard to forget the most impressive NBA title ever won by a team in Texas.aggie7911 said:
