I wouldn't shed a tear to see LaMarcus leave.

I'll have to dig it up when I have access to a computer, but I didn't really want LMA to begin with. I was on the Gasol or bust train the off-season we signed him.

I've been pleasently surprised by his defense these past two seasons, but it's shocking to me how he can't function as a second fiddle, and then when Kawhi goes down, he can't function as top banana either. What is it you're looking for LMA?

His defense is only good because he plays for the spurs and has guys like Kawhi and Green to make it tough. Look at games like tonight. He is not a difference maker in defense without great defenders around him.

He is pathetic.

I think it was pretty well established that most posters here wanted Marc Gasol over LMA, but Marc decided to not seriously consider anywhere over resigning with Memphis - despite Pau saying publicly that Marc should sign with SA.

I was optimistic about the next 5 years or so when we picked up LMA thinking he could complement KL nicely. Now with LMA sucking, Pau on fumes, Parker and Manu about to hang it up, it's crazy to think we're almost needing to completely rebuild around Kawhi to be championship-caliber again.

Laugh all you want, but this game is heavily favored for certain teams. The refs can't blantly win it for a team, but they can dictate and move the needle. Yes, I missed the last two free throws right at my post and misread the stat line, but my point still stands -- they've shot more FT's than us -- and we're at home. The stat line doesn't even tell the true picture of how the game has been called, either.
