Kawhi will be fine. We'll probably win next game. We'll lose game 7. We're ****ed.

If Leonard is not 100% because of that ankle, then that plus Parker already being out...I would like Houston's chances to win the next one.

I personally think this series goes to a game 7.

If nothing else, I think we learned tonight that a 7 man rotation isn't going to cut it. The entire team was gassed in the fourth when we had them on the ropes with the momentum.

We need an 8th player to step up.

Lebron played 46/48 minutes in game 4 and didn't lose his legs. James lost his legs today and he only played 43/53. 38/48 in regulation. He needs to get more conditioned.

Comparing Lebron to James Harden is ****ing laughable.

That's like arguing someone should be able to race on pace with Usain Bolt because they're fast. Lebron is a generational freak talent who could play baseball, basketball, and football. Harden is physically limited in comparison, with his only freak talent being his ability to decelerate on a dime.

Well my point is harden should've been able to play 45 + minutes without falling apart. Derozan and PJ freaking Tucker played 45+ in regulation. It's the playoffs that's what your best players do but james can't.

Gotta make the putts on the 18th green some days. Scoring is easy until the cup starts looking smaller. All Stars rise above. Just make one of those shots or have one less turnover and it's a different outcome. Oh well. On to game 6.

Neither this Houston or Spurs team has much of a shot against beating Golden State.

Yep. Exactly. This series is basically for the Texas State NBA title. I could see both teams getting swept by the Warriors, sadly.

An hour later, just trying to figure out why we always do the ISO ball crap at the end of the games. It obviously doesn't work. The two times we scored in OT were when Harden drove and dished for a 3. That's what he needs to do the whole time at the end of the games or drive to the basket for a layup. Frustrating. I think it goes 7, but I don't think San Antonio will lose a game 7 at home.

I think it goes 7 too. I just really wanted to win this one (obviously) because I don't like our chances of winning game 7 at AT&T

IF it goes 7 then regardless of who wins this series Game 1 of the WCF would be Tuesday 5/16. That gives the Warriors one full week of rest.

Just watched on DVR.

We absolutely **** the bed. What the **** are we doing going hero ball the end of the 4th and overtime? Run the ****ing offense that's had them on their heels the whole game.

We gave that game away time and time again. Found a way to lose.

All credit to Spurs though. Kawhi on the bench and Manu steps up. Simmons is playing his ass off as well.

Harden had to be hurt, or exhausted, probably both. Those 4-5 possessions looked something reminiscent of Mchale several seasons ago of ISO ball and no one moving/screening. I specifically remember late in the 3rd Harden expecting a high screen from Clint and instead he chucks up a 3 several feet behind the line? Unfortunately, I think that was the series. We'll win big at home and lose Game 7 by double digits.

After having a night to sleep on it I still believe we can win this series. Even after all that stupidity at the end of the game last night we are still the better team. We have been complaining about this ISO ball to close out games since November and its infuriating that Pringles hasn't figured it out yet.

By far my number one complaint this entire season has been the way we stop running offense to close out games, it just sucks it cost us in such a big game.

On to game 6, really hope it is not the last game at TC this year.

He was exhausted, Other than the horrible OT, I thought he played one of his better all round games of the season. Last night was the first time I can remember he showed true effort on D. That's not a knock on him, a lot of offensive players are given a pass on D. Harden played a complete game, had a triple double, defended LMA fairly well (certainly better than expected), and just ran out of gas.

I also don't understand how we're ragging on Harden when this happens:

Ariza: 3/10 FG, 3/8 3PT
Gordon: 4/13 FG, 1/6 3PT
Williams: 3/10 FG, 0/5 3PT

Two of those guys are on this team specifically to shoot 3PT shots. Hit your damn shots.

I frankly can't care all that much about it either way because the Warriors are going to win the next couple of championships without breaking a sweat. Until Harden gets another bonafide superstar next to him there isn't much drama in the NBA.

While this is true, Harden pretty much single handedly gave OT to the Spurs with his ridiculous turnovers and pass to Gordon for the shot.

The 4 missed free throws by Anderson and Gordon in the 1st quarter are what piss me off the most.

Offensive boards are what killed us in regulation. They had 18 to our 9. A few of those were late in the 4th quarter as well.

There was a possession I don't remember late in the 4th or overtime they got the 4 rebounds in a row and ended with Lamarcus Aldridge layup

That might have been the first possession of overtime. They got like 4 possessions in a row.

I think the game was lost when Pringles decided to not play Harrell. They played 9 guys, we played 7. Can't win like that. Harrell played well all year and he deserved at least 8 minutes in that game.

But what are the realistic odds of the Rockets winning game 7 in SA?

What does everyone think the NBA wants?

Though I think GS/SA would be a more competitive matchup, I think GS/HOU would be more interesting to watch. And, yes, I know, logically, that does not make complete sense.

I owe an apology to CoachRTM. I think I might have downplayed the role of Nene. Even though he was only averaging 6 points and 3 boards so far through 3 games he was still out there giving us 16-17 minutes and you could trust him as a Vet. Pretty clear Dantoni wanted to avoid using Trez or Dekker but he is going to have to pull an extra body or two in there so we aren't gassed by the 4th quarter. Wish we had experimented with that in game 5 versus making the change in an elimination game though.

I think MDA is in the camp of "have your 5 best players out there no matter what" and the drop off from the top 7 players to the next few is substantial. Trez is the only player that didn't play that had a positive VORP and Box+/- in the regular season. With his less than stellar defense and propensity to foul, I can only assume that's why MDA didn't play him.

Just tough to not give shooters a break. Those shots just get a tiny bit shorter.

I'll bet we see Dekker tomorrow.
CFTXAG10
How long do you want to ignore this user?

On MDA, dead accurate. It was live or die with the 7, and he almost pulled it off. The thought has crossed my mind if the media and fans would still be hounding him on the rotation if we had won by a slim margin vs. losing by 3

Side note: Even with how ugly we played in OT and despite the outcome that was probably the best playoff game I have seen so far this year.

Still don't understand how Trez isn't getting some playing time....even if it's just to go in for a few minutes to spell Capela and not have to worry about foul trouble.

Spurs fan sure are butt hurt about the fact that Harden will likely finish ahead of Kawhi in the MVP race. They seem more joyful about the fact that it was Harden who got blocked at the end of the game and had the TO's than they are about the fact that they won the game.

Really hope we destroy them at home and then go back to SA and finish what we weren't able to finish in game 5.
