I have faith in this team, but they just threw away the chance to be up 3-2 and step on the throat.

Lack of successful playoff experience showing there. Someone needed to be in harden'a ear telling him to push tempo the last 6 minutes.

yep, don't understand our late game plays, if you are going to ISO, harden needs to drive for the shot or dish, not just chill the **** out and wait to shoot a 3 at the buzzer

It's blatantly obvious now that Harden intentionally ignores play calls out of time outs in clutch situations. I don't think we can win a championship with him. I love the guy, but we've seen his limit.

Good teams take advantage when a team is ice cold. We didn't do that. Turnovers and missed wide open shots lost us the game. Absolutely pitiful.

I'm not even sure it's just missed wide open shots. It's turnovers and completely abandoning the offense that got you there in the last 6 minutes. It's having no killer instinct smelling blood in the water when the best defensive and offensive player on the opposing team is out hurt. We should have been attacking like crazy the final 6 minutes.

What hurts the most is we could have had a chance to close it out at home if we don't completely **** the bed. We didn't need to play well. We needed to just play okay.

Now we have our backs against the wall and cannot afford to have a sub-par game.

We had a chance and missed it.

Maybe it's the former coach in me, but it's now immediately behind me and I'm on to the next one mentally. Take care of business in Houston, and you have a Game 7 where anything is possible on Sunday.

This series deserves a Game 7,.... Because the next series is probably only going 4 or 5 anyway.

I agree. But they aren't plays. It is not Pringles offense in that situation. It is just James Harden getting sticky with the basketball thinking he can be LeBron James. But then he runs out of time and either turns it over or throws up a poor three point attempt. What a choke job.

Harden is one of the only reasons we were in that game. He had 33-10-10. Literally the only thing you can complain about were his turnovers (9). 2 or 3 of which came from the refs choking on their whistles. If you want to blame someone for the loss look at Ariza, Gordon, and Lou. They shot a combined 10/33 and 4/19 from 3.

If nothing else, I think we learned tonight that a 7 man rotation isn't going to cut it. The entire team was gassed in the fourth when we had them on the ropes with the momentum.

We need an 8th player to step up.

Agreed that the offensive strategy was terrible in OT. We got no open shots because we didn't move the ball around.

I do agree with you. I believe your coaches and players have that mentality.

However, as a fan, this is like you are cooking a steak and your heat thermometer is saying, take it off now...ok, now, take it off! And you ignore it and let it become well done. You've got another ready to cook, but you wasted a perfectly good steak.

I think everyone does get it, but we also understand he puts is in that position in the first place. He needs a veteran to drill it into his head to attack at the end of games until he sees the results work. I think he is a needs to see it to believe it kind of guy.

Like, I think if him at PG didn't work well in the first 15 games, he would have abandoned that.

He needs to have someone teach him how to close out games.

Two plays in OT Harden was waiting on screens that didn't come even though they had been all game
1) Capela camping out and comes up to set the screen with 5 second left so Harden launches a deep three
2) Capela and Beverley both try to set a screen at the same time with 5-6 seconds left on the clock. Bad shot.

Lebron played 46/48 minutes in game 4 and didn't lose his legs. James lost his legs today and he only played 43/53. 38/48 in regulation. He needs to get more conditioned.

I'm also worried about the role players. Look at our 3P shooting in the first half compared to the second and OT. Their legs were gone.

Houston missed a golden opportunity tonight but as long as Golden State is able to keep the Durant/Curry/Thompson/Green superteam together, the ceiling/limit of every other team in the West is the conference finals.

Neither this Houston or Spurs team has much of a shot against beating Golden State.

So complain about Harden not getting to the western conference Finals, but it seems pointless to complain about his ceiling on winning a championship because Houston had almost no chance anyways. the only way anybody but the Warriors is coming out of the West the next few years is you will probably need to create your own 'super team'.
