I always loved that 3 pointer against Phoenix. It was such a testament to how much of a GOAT he was. First 3 pointer of the season. In a playoff game. In crunch time.

No problem.

And that fadeaway against the Lakers is so bittersweet. Damn Derek Fisher.

I know some of you hate Kobe, but he is one of my favorite non-Spurs player ever. Can't believe we will never see these 2 on the court again.

My dad and I were in the front room of our house on the southwest side of San Antonio. That was the first time I understood that people could be truly tied together by sports, and that San Antonio was tied together by basketball.


I'll admit that I honked my horn all the way home from my friend's house after that 1999 win.

Wish RC would talk about some of the deals they almost made that they didn't.

Interesting that every time they were going to make a trade, Pop sat down with Timmy, Manu and Tony to talk about the basketball implications.

When Tim was considering Orlando, RC completely blew the meeting with Tim. Robinson took a red eye back from Hawaii and cooked dinner. They had a heart to heart then Tim drove to Pop's house after Robinson cooked him dinner and they had a heart to heart. The only thing that kept Timmy in SA was Tim's relationship with David and Pop even though David was close to retirement.
