I think the best commentary was on sportscenter. The anchor asked JVG and Mark Jackson to comment on Steph Curry's performance. They just stared at the camera for a couple seconds and then started laughing.

This. I admire it but even the best players have come up short occasionally in the clutch. I'm waiting for it to happen a couple of times to him so then I can enjoy it a little bit more. Watching him blow through teams makes basketball a little less watchable.
He makes me hate him
The only guy on the thunder bench who even reacted was Kanter, who raised his arms as if to say "dammit" while the ball was still in the air and 10' from the hoop.
I still don't believe what I just saw. 
I enjoyed the hell out of that shot and enjoy watching him play in general. I feel sad for those of y'all who can't.
Some people are still too interested in hating and/or playing goalie for bygone eras to appreciate greatness unfolding right in front of their faces. I mean, I won't even mind too much if SA gets beat by GSW in the playoffs if they're playing this brand of basketball. It's just so remarkable to watch.
Steph Curry is the player JR Smith thinks JR Smith is.
He made 12 threes, and at least half of them were shots that would get 99% of players pulled immediately.
This is like watching 1999-2002 Tiger Woods. You think he just can't keep being this far ahead of everyone else, and then he does.
They even tried to D him up earlier than you normally would, about 5 ft in front of the line..he shot it from 8. and it looked natural, not a heave.

I think you have to compare him to someone like Wilt. When Wilt came into the league he was so much bigger and stronger than everyone else that he put up ungodly numbers that still stand decades later. He was a trendsetter that changed the league. Curry is in the same mold in that he is doing something nobody else has done before. I only "hate" him because he is not on my team.

That's what makes Curry so damn obnoxious. I don't understand how he is this good. Wilt was bigger, faster, and stronger than anyone. MJ was an athletic freak who redefined the word competitive. Some of Currys abilities I can understand - the terrific ball handling, the transcendental court vision and awareness.... I'm with you on that. But the fact that he defies statistics and simply cannot miss (or take a bad shot really) is kinda unprecedented. There just isn't a comparison to him. And there should be. But him to the next best shooter in NBA history just isn't close. He's like 6 deviations from the mean nba shooter and the next best is 3. Just crazy.
If he were making half as many shots at this percentage with most of them being catch and shoot, we would still be talking about his incredible season.

Current Americans hate successful people by nature. Enjoy how awesome he is.
He's the only bb player I've ever seen that can take a 35 footer in that situation and the coach is fine with it.

Good NBA players would love to have the difficulty of a few of those shots over a weeks worth of games. All of those in one night against one of the top teams in the league.....with the pressure of chasing the Bulls W/L record in a season. Unreal.
I am really apathetic to the NBA and almost never watch a game until the playoffs and even then I don't care much...

The funniest part of the last shot was the OKC bench screaming to close out on him at half court. That's insane. He has no range limitations.
Not sure what Pop will come up with to defend this guy..but he's Pop..he's gonna have a plan and he's not going to show his hand until the conference finals..and on that note..can we just disqualify the East right now and make the WCF the NBA Finals?

There is a dramatic difference between the two. While Lebron's fake facial expressions and other acting jobs whenever he senses the camera is on him are among the most annoying things in the NBA, Curry simply enjoys himself. And frankly, he is better at his craft than Lebron.Lebron just happens to be taller.

My guess is, no one hates Curry as much as Jordan. I for one do enjoy his talent
Maybe emphasis on defending the three point line?
He's amazing. I'm tired of the old NBA greats trying to discount him. Jordan never did anything like this offensively.
