Just wanted to let everyone know - I recently downloaded 2k16 on PS4 and have been dominating dudes with the Rockets.. 11-2 overall. Dwight plays hard and Harden plays defense. You're all welcome

Everything I've run, I trade them immediately. I guess I'm a bad fan.
I just don't get the arguments against Harden re: his work ethic and conditioning. Unconditioned and lazy NBA players don't sustain themselves as top 10 players for 3 or 4 seasons and play the minutes and style he does with the incredible durability he's shown. I get he goes out and stuff so there's a perception about him... but make no mistake about it, one doesn't play at that level for that many minutes and not get hurt without putting in insane amounts of work in conditioning during and in the the offseason. Suggesting otherwise is shortsighted and dumb.
People need to pull back the front on Harden a layer and see the bigger picture of the issue. He's going on 2 seasons now where his best help on offense on the roster is 'meh' at best. He sort of has to do what he does right now. People trash his defense... but he literally is the Rockets everything on offense. You play like he plays and spend the amount of time on the floor that he does, I think you have to be granted a few passes on defense. What happened last season? I thought Harden looked worn down. But tired James on offense is still better than fresh Dwight and Ariza so he was asked to do the same thing and just didn't do it as well. I thought he looked sort of beat up when he played most of last season.
Morey needs to figure out a way to bring his usage level down some. Reduce his minutes and get him some help offensively. Everyone asks 'why don't the Rockets build a good offense?'... well... get another real offensive piece so D'Antoni can maybe do that or the Rockets best bet is still going to be Harden hero ball on offense. I'd see if you can facilitate Dwight to Cleveland for Love straight up. See if Kevin Love is salvageable and get the second offensive piece that's been missing since Parsons left.

If we got Love and lost Dwight, our defense would be absolute trash.

Love is in a bad situation now but he was a monster not long ago, can shoot to stretch the floor and has the ability to replace Dwight on the glass. He also gives you a suitable offensive big man to open up playing Capela more. I think Harden can be ok on defense if the Rockets don't grind him into the ground offensively. It isn't a slam dunk but it could work. Dwight isn't back and the Rockets aren't getting Durant or any big free agent for that matter and they need a major shake up. Might as well see if you can facilitate something for Dwight and get something in return. Harden level talents don't grow on trees. Need to give him a chance to win and its not going to happen running him into the ground with the type of roster that they have.

Love used to put up big numbers on trash teams. This year he shot .419/.360 with over 400 3PA. He's always been a bad defender. I would not want any part of him.

He'd immediately be their second best player and better yet, be it on a trash team or not, he's unequivocally a huge plus player on offense... the Rockets need that somewhere other than just Harden. I know he's a laughing stock now... but the Rockets aren't getting Durant or Conley or somebody like that. They have to try to get what they can and build from there.

A well deserved award.
Can't argue with it...there's a big difference between being a poor defender due to carrying a high offensive load and not devoting the energy to it, and being a poor defender because of cluelessness and apathy. Harden was guilty of the latter much too often.
Josh Smith got the top spot for Shaqtin A Fool uncalled travels with 25 steps, too.

This year's line was "doesn't matter, and then we get Durant". Next year will be "doesn't matter, look at the cap space".

Wow. So not only did we actually want him back, but Dwight said no. That makes me lose a ton of confidence in this front office.

The thought crossed my mind. Mainly because the fact they said they want to plug him in Dantonis offense is laughable.
I think Morey knows this offseason is a crapshoot and realized that a 1 year commitment to Dwight was a bird in the hand if they could convince him to stay. Not a good idea but it was probably done out of fear of missing out on everybody else.
