That's an odd schedule...6 playoff teams in a row, followed by 4 WC non-playoff teams.

I have no idea how to predict how the Rockets will fare.

The team came out of halftime like a 15 point lead meant that they could coast it home. Got beat by a team playing harder. No pride with this bunch.

And when they fired mchale for jb they punted the season away anyways. He is a an average coach at best

Isn't it in the best interest of the franchise to miss the playoffs this year?

Yep. I don't care if we lose because we simply aren't as talented. Those teams we had in the years after Yao/Tmac and before Harden were really fun to watch, and that is because they would bust their ass and scrap for 48 minutes. If this team doesn't give a damn then why should we?

I wasn't on board with tanking to keep our pick until after last night. Now I am 100% in favor of being a lottery team. It is hard to imagine a team ever under-performing to the extent this one has.

Yeah and one time he was all over them so much they took harden's made free throw off the board and made him shoot again where he missed.

Basically

I sat a few rows behind the rockets bench last night and made some observations.

These guys seems like they genuinely care about each other. Smoove was standing and cheering for guys. At times, ariza, smoove, and Jones would be on the side riding the bike and they would be interacting with the fans, giving high fives to kibs and babies, etc. I even got a fist bump from ariza.

This team hasn't given up yet. The passion and energy is still there (though not for a full 48 minutes most games). It looks like they really believe they can be a contender.

Say whatever you want about the team underperforming, but after last night, I find it hard to hate on them

It won't work for 48 minutes but when we go with Bev, Harden, Ariza, Brewer, and Beasley it is a pretty solid small ball group. If we are going to make the playoffs I would like to see them fight like hell for a shot at the Thunder instead of the Dubs or Spurs.

Harden starting to cook as the rockets come back and are only down 2 headed to the 4th
