So with Smoove gone I think we save some $$ for mid season moves. I think we'll be able to offer KJ a little more now. Even though he didn't play I have to think DM really likes him.

If we get Lawson, I am going to really like the energy off the bench with Bev, Jones/DMO, & Brewer. I think that 2nd unit will be able really get hot at times.

The word on KJ is that they are offering him the full MLE which is a little over 5 mill. - I think he is still testing the market though before he makes a decision. I wouldn't mind picking up Lawson because I don't think you would have to give up too much and he has a pretty favorable contract.

Full MLE for KJ? That sounds like too much for a guy who's played so little.

Lawson is making 12.4 M & 13.2 M the next 2 years. In the current NBA market, it is a steal.

I goofed that up. Meant to say that is the most they could offer is the full MLE which is 5+. Last I heard he had a qualifying offer on the table from the Rockets for much less at 1 year between 1-1.5 mill.

Nick Johnson had good summer league highlights last year too.

Harrell is a project at PF for our scheme because he isn't a shooter, but is a pretty good fit at C. The problem is that C is pretty crowded. So if we are able to land a PG via trade, and there seem to be several out there, Harrell seems like a logical piece to move.

To not touch the main players (Bev, Harden, Ariza, DMo, DHo), you'd have to include KPapa, Jones, Capela, Dorsey and Johnson to make salaries match with Lawson. I think you'd need a little more for Bledsoe.

Silver should reject this trade for basketball reasons. Or just revoke the Nuggets franchise or move it to Seattle. I mean wow....Morey pantsed lil Kroenke. Someone wake up Stan or tell him to stop playing with his toy model LA Rams stadium and pay some attention to the Nuggets and tell him his little boy is destroying things. Nice job, Rockets.

Denver didn't have much of a bargaining chip guys. Lawson is coming off TWO DUIs in 6 months and have two quality starting pgs on their roster. I'm obviously stoked about getting Lawson but it's not like Denver had much of a choice after the second dui

They could have held on to him and let him gain value back and at least gotten more than lower end bench players.

This might end being as bad as the Harden trade if Lawson keeps up the 16-9 avg.

Not on the bench, but they play him for 2 month and he keeps stays sober while avg 16-9 he'd get more.

Don't hate on Johnson. I liked him a lot of think he could end up being a solid player. However he'll never be a 15-8 kind of guy.
