We are gonna give up 160 a game next year. This is a disaster. Money needs to be canned and quick. Maybe we will only win 20 games this year and Les will fire money and chipmunk and bring in some real basketball people

I think there is something to this. Personality-wise, Harden kind of reminds me of Adrian Dantley. Tough to get a read on, gave off a "me first" vibe, and never seemed like the kind of guy that you could get over the top with...very talented offensive player, though. AD could get buckets and so can James.

This narrative that Harden would be/is difficult to play with isn't a new one, but he has time to change this perception. There needs to be, however, a legitimate 2nd option on offense and the Rockets didn't have that last year, at all...I don't think Anderson is the answer for that, but he does bring a legit threat from 3. I think James would be more deferential with players that he felt were closer to his ability. The trick is to get a couple of those.

Hope I'm wrong, but it looks like another mediocre season ahead. It won't be dull, at least. Expectations have been managed.

next year should be very interesting for the rockets with Gordon and Anderson

Mavs signing Harrison Barnes to max deal

We just got a ton better at the 3 point line. We will be replacing Capela (.000) & DMO's (.281) starts Anderson (.366). Brewer's (.272) role off the bench with Gordon's (.384).

to be honest, i would rather give harrison barnes the max than give anderson 20M (i still can't believe it) a year. Barnes reminds me a lot of Khris Middleton when he first got into the league and has awesome shooting numbers through his first four years. He just needs the consistent touches and minutes and he will get the ability to develop. Barnes would've be awesome on the rockets if they could throw brewer and/or ariza in the garbage where they belong.

Surely not. They are going to have to pay Curry, Thompson, and Nut Kicker the full maxes in the next couple of years at 30% of the cap each. They won't want Barnes on a max contract as well.

What is there to believe?

He's a 16-6 a night stretch four that shoots the 3 well. We've been dying for a guy like this.

We have ~10.3 M left assuming we keep DMO & Beasley. We do we go after?
