REALLY don't want Lin. We need a starting PG to play with James. I love Bev, but he is a backup PG in the NBA.

1) Not sure I remember how that happened. Enlighten me.
2) He's improved his defense a lot. If you watched the hornets heat series he shut down dragic. Also he's a better option than Bev as a starting pg because he can be a true pg to facilitate Dantoni's offense

I would like to land Horford and Lin this offseason. I would also like Ryan Anderson because I'm not all in on d mo or Beasley, but Horford can play the 4 a lot with Capela next to him so it's not as big of a need as PG

And on another note, I was one of the biggest Lin haters when he was here, but he's a better overall player now and he will inevitably be better in Dantoni's offense. He's a way better defender, smarter player, and he can play better than in the past off the ball on offense.

I thought you were talking about whether there was another reason besides what you see on the court. And for his game, he just doesn't do anything very well. No good stats, can't really create his own shot or shots for others, not too good of an individual defender, and even his shot %'s that used to be good because he had a ton of open looks (everybody pays attention to the others on the court) has been awful so far these playoffs. If he's not making his shots, he's pretty useless. He's definitely not a $15 mil+ per year guy. No way

I think it would be interesting to see what Barnes would do as the second or third best guy on a team. Feels like his whole career including college has been about potential. I agree that he has never looked like much, but he has also been stuck in some pretty big shadows in the NBA.

Couple of offseason dates to keep an eye on:

June 23rd - NBA Draft (Rockets have 37 & 43rd pick)
June 24th - last day for pending RFA's to exercise player options
June 29th - last day for decisions on player, team, and early termination options, unless individual contract specifies otherwise
June 30th - last day of the season. Last day to make qualifying offers to RFA's
July 7th - moratorium over. Teams can begin signing players and making trades

Should hear something on Dwight in the next few weeks.

Because he's a FA, can shoot, can defend. He'd immediately be our 2nd best player. Speaks to the current roster more than how good he is.
