No, Lebron can't do it 3 more times. But it'll be fun to watch him try. There will always be freak athletes in the NBA, but there's never been one quite like him before. Ever. And it'll probably be a long time before we see another one.

James Harden got so much heat for the last play in Game 2. In tonight's game the MVP down 2 throws the ball away.

I also thought it was interesting that when down by 1 with 18s left in OT, LeBron immediately took it to the rack [then passing] rather than dribbling a little bit to kill some time so if GSW got the ball back, they wouldn't have much time to do anything.

James Jones missed a three with 11s left and the Cavs luckily got the offensive rebound and Golden State fouled.

But if that guy no one has ever heard of doesn't sneak in for the putback attempt, GSW has the ball with a 1 point lead and 10s and Cleveland is desperately trying to foul them then hit a three.

The conventional wisdom is to kill some of those 18s because you can guarantee yourself the last shot. Cleveland didn't, though it ended up working out anyway.

After he traveled.

if this is in jest, okay. But if its serious its dumb.

100's of travels are missed. That was a damn hack across the arm right in front of the official.

Not even comparable.

Thats if you are tied. In this case he did exactly what was smart.

If you miss you still have a chance(like exactly what happened)

If you make it they have 10 seconds and now time outs to travel the court.

He played it perfectly.

As long as curry keeps shooting the way he is, Lebron can do it again.

People keep referring to the Warriors poor performance but Klay was perfect and he wont be again. And the Cavs shot 33%. Tristan Thompson and JR smith (two fo their top five contributors) were down right horrible.

Mozgov is emerging with a legit post game. I have no idea why Blatt sat him the entire 4th and regulation when he was scoring like he was.

I think the Warriors are in trouble. I still wouldnt put money on the Cavs to win this series, but there is a scrappy ass team + the best player in the world, all riding a confidence high right now and heading home to one of the best crowds in the NBA.

This series is not over.

so what game is Mike Miller going to come off the bench and drain 5 3's? Game 3 or 4? You know it's gonna happen.

And doing it with a team of spares and the being guarded by basically the entire GS roster every time down the floor.

Well I'm not sure if you noticed but that team of spares (Specifically Mozgov and Dellavedova) hit big time free throws to win that game.

Mozgov ended the game 5/8 for 17 points. I agree that he is working with a very poor crew but lets not act like he did it alone last night.

this is one of the rare times where the guy has to shoot 30+ times a game for his team to have a chance to win a finals game. Reminds me of iverson in 2001, except Lebron can rebound and pass like magic. He is something else

Yeah I know. I wonder who commands so much of the defensive attention and who is able to make the passes and open up plays for those guys to succeed. It's almost as if those 11 assists from some guy, and the Warriors collapsing on him all game long may have actually been beneficial to guys like Delly and Mozgov.

I watched that entire game, Mozgov wasn't just throwing up wide open layups. Heck, a ton of those points he scored came from free throws after he backed the defender down and forced a foul.

I'm not saying Lebron sucks, I just think it's ridiculous to look at his point total and say how amazing it is considering the amount of attempts he is doing it on.
Bunk Moreland
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah, you're probably right. Lebron's stat lines after 2 games should actually be dressed down due to high shot attempts. He shouldn't receive credit, as tying the series was basically a given.

Nevermind that he just got his rag-tag unit to 1-1 on the road in the finals against a team that was 50-3 in the regular season and playoffs there to date, and it is almost completely due to him and how much attention he commands from the GS defense.

But because Mozgov backed his guy down and went to the free throw line, Lebron's #'s really aren't that good.

Back on topic

If Curry can't handle the pressure of making shots in the Finals. That might be the crack in the dam that creates the flood. He had a horrible game last night. Now he's gotta go into Cleveland and try to sun one there. If he plays horribly again in game 3 this thing could be over with

The last team that was on the big run and set to take down Lebron were the Thunder. They also won game 1, then got blitzed 4 in a row and before you knew it, Lebron was a NBA champion.

Golden State, just due to the Cavs being so banged up, will probably not see that same fate. However, these first 2 games definitely could be a bit of a glimmer that they may not quite be ready for the moment.

Should be interesting to track going forward.

LeBron has to shoot the ball 30+ times for his team to win. I usually hate players who play that way (Kobe, Westbroook, etc) because Kobe has had Pau Gasol, and Westbrook has had Kevin Durant, so there is no reason for those guys to jack up as many shots as they do.

The Cavs don't have a legitimate 2nd option anymore now that Love and Kyrie are out for the year. LeBron has to do everything for them to have a fighting chance. I have zero issues with him taking that many shots. Matter of fact, I thought what LeBron did last night was incredible, it was damn fun to watch

dude look at his team! ther is not one person one his entire team that can create their own offense. NOT ONE. Agans tthe bet team in the leage. Best defensive team in the league. Lebron is mentally and physicaly controlling this series. Shot count is out the window. He is doing whatever it takes. And he won at Oracle with a bunch of slap dicks. Warriors were 36-3 there before last night. If you cant see that I cant help you.

The only comment I made to begin this discussion was that he scored his points on a ton of attempts. I didn't say Lebron sucks, or that he isn't carrying the team, or that he has superstars around him. You assume that I think these things because I point out that he is averaging 40+ points on 35+ attempts/game. I understand he HAS to take that many attempts. I understand with Kyrie and Love out that he can't trust Smith or Deli to to take a whole bunch of shots.

All of that being said, last nights game had nothing to do with one player on either team. The Cavs as a whole held the Golden State Warriors to 93 points in an overtime game. That is amazing team defense.

While the Cavs do have role players who have stepped up, I am certain of this: replace Lebron last night with Jordan in his prime, and Golden State would have won the game.

I agree with him saying last nights win was because of team defense. Golden state never has 93 points in 48 minutes, much less 53. Lebron was great last night but the defense was the reason for the win and that is mainly because of Lebron and Mozgov and Dellavedova and Shumpert. Would they have won without Lebron's phenomenal offense? No, but even with that game by Lebron, the defense by him and the others is the biggest reason.
