You could see that coming, though. LeBron had to carry way too much of a load on both ends of the court and didn't have much left. I expect that to be the story of the series, unless Irving can miraculously get better, or JR Smith goes crazy from deep in a game.

I love how the media praises Lebron for keeping his team in the game with 44 points, yet they ignore the fact that he took 38 shot attempts. If you take that many attempts throughout a game, you better be the reason the game is close. For comparison, the night Harden scored 45 on GS he did it on 22 attempts.

Sort of wondering if Lebron goes straight facilitator mode for the start of game 2 to see if he can get his role guys involved and get touches. It'll take him out of his back down 1 on 1 game, but the Cavs are going to have to have about 3 or 4 guys play above their ability to win 4 games in this series. I know last night was about a half inch further on Shumpert's shot from stealing game 1, but we all know the Warriors are going to start shooting better from the perimeter. Cavs will have to match that. It starts with Lebron finding open guys, and those guys hitting 3's. Warriors will continue to fall back to the paint if the Cavs can't get 1 or 2 guys to hit some shots.

Woah, no way? The Rockets also scored 128 points and got 61 from just their other 4 starters and 83 total from guys not named Harden.

The Cavs scored 100 and got 47 from their other 4 starters and 56 total from guys not named Lebron.

What point are you trying to make? Of course Lebron should deserve praise for keeping his team in it, regardless of the shot attempts. The rest of his team didn't do dick. It's not like he went a Kobe style 11/38 plus 20 FT's to get there.

Agreed

If the Warriors play the way they have all year, LeBron will need to be beyond anything he's ever done, like 38-15-10 every night to have a chance to win. I wish it weren't the case, I'd like to see him beat Golden State, but the rest of that team doesn't have the firepower / is too injured.

This injury news angers me. The Warriors are good, there is no doubt; they've had a historically great season. But they've had the championship served to them on a silver platter these playoffs with all the injuries the opposing teams have had and somehow them only having Maurice ****ing Speights out for any extended time.

That's part of basketball. Duncan couldn't defend his first title when he hurt his knee a couple games before the season was over. The 03 Kings had Webber blow out his knee, then the Mavs had Dirk get injured. Helped the Spurs out a bit. Rose being hurt so much helped the Heatles get out of the East without too much difficulty. It sucks, but it is part of the game.
