How good is Lebron? He goes for 31/8/6 and people hardly notice.

Young Lebron took Cleveland with a bunch of scrubs to the finals. He went to Miami with Wade and Bosh and went to the finals every year, winning a couple titles. He leaves Miami and goes to Cleveland, and Miami doesn't even make the playoffs, and yet Cleveland is getting ready to get back to the finals.

If anything, people are not fully appreciating just how incredible Lebron is. He's the 2nd best basketball player in history.

He's currently top 5 for sure, and has a pretty solid amount of time to become the best. Although very few will ever acknowledge it IMO.

Someone made a comment recently, that Jordan gets better every year he has retired. It's so true. The mystique of Jordan only grows, sometimes way too much.

I think MJ, maybe more than any "top or 1 or 2 all time greats in their sport" benefited from playing just before the social media era. He got all the glory of cable tv, more exposure on TV, etc....but got out just before this entire era of ridiculous social media presence actually having a "say" on who is the best, or what should and shouldn't be discussed, etc.

His narrative was written in large part by the media, our "trusted" sources for when folks in Texas or California couldn't always catch a Bulls game whenever they wanted, but could catch enough of them due to increased media and game exposure on TV in the 90's.

He's the last true legend of a game(and he is definitely deserving of being a legend). In this new world where village idiots have not only come out to have a voice in social media, some have even started blogs or websites and stumbled up, even the best ever wont have the same allure as it did to the best ever who was just before this new instant-news, instant-stats, instant opinion era we live in.

Although, given the way last night went...not sure how much it'll matter. I was pretty shocked to see Atlanta play that poorly. Really thought they'd hold strong in the first 2 games and force Cleveland to do the same in 3/4.

Cleveland is just a mess of injuries and being banged up right now. Kind of impressive that they've gotten to this point, now with home court advantage on their side for the time being.

even the Spurs' championship teams think this series is unwatchable

Cavs might be able to rest Irving until the Finals start at this rate...if I'm Cleveland, I don't see any reason to rush him back at this point.

He's ****ing unreal.

I had my issues with him and the announcement. I've come around. I don't know that the basketball now is as good as it was when you had the Celtics, Lakers, Pistons banging it out. But it's better than it was for a lot of Jordan's 6 championships.

that stat should be his +\- during this cavs series. I highly doubt it's positive. He hasn't been himself this series. Probably since the cavs are coming over the top on almost every screen set for him

He's -19 cumulatively for the Cavs series.

I don't think they would win the series healthy but they could have won a couple games at least.

I guess you gotta throw Horford out for that, but you're handing the game to Cleveland in the process.

Only 37/18/13 tonight, including the a three to put his team up, a block on the defensive end, and then another bucket to go up 3 with a few seconds left.

James is such a dbag and a drama queen. I cannot even watch the game as he makes his faces, acts hurt, and all the other acting he does. No one in the history of the league has put on such drama as he does.

I literally will not watch the finals with him in it, since the Rockets are out, it won't be much of a sacrifice.

Not to mention that it really does look like he's also coaching this team.

If you shoot enough, you'll eventually get to 37 points. You are entitled to believe his WWE acting is real. And I am entitled to see it for what it is. Enjoy the finals. I won't be watching.
