The blame should be that there was no other alternative for waiters. Whether it was drawn up that way or waiters just felt the pressure from Russ to throw it to him and no one else.

Barely escape the almighty 76ers and then lose to the Butler/Rose less Bulls but hey, he's got triple doubles and a mask!

Andddd you live and die by him and his pull up contested jumper. Team and Brooks inept to use him as a distraction in any way. Obvious a bulls would be all over him on that last play.

Actually, that next to last OKC possession was Russ' bad, because early he had Ibaka wide ass open.

But again, it's OKC's team defense that cost them a game. That will improve greatly when Adams (and hopefully eventually Durant) return.

Kinda funny I am hoping for Durant's return to improve defense, since we all called him _urant in college.

In all seriousness, Russ is a great player there's no doubt. Have said that many times. Just don't think OKC can win a title with him being "the guy". Durant has to be that guy and have the ball in his hands down the stretch and playing great for them to win a title. JMO. Not sure if Russ is able to allow that to happen. Especially after this stretch of insane numbers he's put up. His ego is only growing.

Westbrook:

Only reason OKC was in the game. And the sole reason they lost.

No we won't win with him as THE guy, but right now with KD out he is THE guy and we have to just live with it. What else are we supposed to do, defer to Dion Waiters?

Doesn't necessarily need to be Waiters, just anybody who wouldn't have stepped outta bounds.

That inbounds pass shoulda never been made with a timeout still in hand

OKC is 2-7 when Westbrook scores 35+.

Westbrook is awesome. No question.

But it's the way he carries himself, his on court antics, his look at me PLEASE! bull**** that I can't stand.

Obviously, I'll never understand what it feels like to dunk a basketball, but apparently it makes Westbrook feel he has to stomp his feet, scowl at the benches/crowd, pound his chest and flail around like a dumbass.

I can't say how I would behave if I was able to do some of the things he does on a basketball court. It really would be nothing short of Ric Flair-level theatrics, I know that. Russell Westbrook is ****ing awesome. Some of you dudes must be really boring.

I find it hilarious watching him stomp around like he's Jordan while squeaking out wins against one of the worst teams in the history of the NBA. Pretty funny tbh.

You can't even smile in baseball and Goodell has been sucking the life out of the NFL for years now. But you guys complain because Russell Westbrook is stomping his feet too hard after he practically teleported 94 feet with what might as well have been two Mjolnir hammers in his hand. I don't get y'all.

It's just nice to see when an athlete makes good plays and then doesn't react like they cured cancer or won the powerball.

That makes me boring I guess.

No, it just makes you a Spurs fan. My aunt who had Spurs season tickets for 25 years hates Westbrook for this exact reason. That's cool though, I'd trade antics for a plethora of titles too.

The NFL is different. I hate that the players get penalties when they celebrate a touchdown. It would be wrong for Westbrook to get penalized when he celebrated making a jumper.

I never once said I want the fun sucked out of the game. I think it's fun watching Marc Gasol play badass defense. I think it's fun to watch Steph Curry get insanely hot for a few minutes. I think it's fun to watch Kawhi go coast to coast for a dunk after a steal. But if they started acting like lunatics when they did it, it would start to grate on me.

Westbrook is fun to watch when he plays basketball. But not as much with the other antics he pulls after each bucket he makes.

I'm sure it does have something to do with me being a Spurs fan. It's refreshing to me to see people be so good at their job and not demand attention and praise for it.

But this is part of the Westbrook debate. It's probably the main reason he is so polarizing.

OKC/Bulls

I mean, watch these highlights from last night. After. Every. Bucket. A shot in the lane in the first quarter? You bet. A jumper in the 3rd? Sure.

Also, that Dunleavy dunk attempt is hilarious.

I'm a Spurs fan and I like Westbrook. I love to bag on him like everyone else but the guy is fun to watch. Plenty of fans like to see that you're of high energy, big reactions style of play. He's having fun out there and showing it.

But then again I have no problem with WRs proposing to cheerleaders with footballs or having a sharpie in their sock. I think too often people forget that these games are full of emotion and think the athletes should act like Vulcans.

I would like him more if his reactions were limited to some truly awesome plays or moments in a game. It's the frequency that annoys the crap out of me. Guys celebrating after a ridiculous circus shot and an "And 1" don't bug me, assuming they aren't down by 40 or up by 40. The moment and frequency matters to me.

Which is why football celebrations don't frustrate me as much. The frequency of an amazing individual play is much lower so I think they should be able to celebrate them. Maybe not bringing tons of props and stuff onto the field to do it, but let a guy enjoy his moment.

I 100% agree. But look at how often the majority of guys are going to score in that sport. Not too many times. It's also why a lineman catching a TD pass or running back a fumble for a TD celebrations should be allowed to be epic.

But even with Kawhi, who would be tough to argue as a "better" player.

I like players that are selfless, who put the team before themselves and make everyone better. Sure, Kawhi has a game now and then where he just takes over, but when he does he's just taking what the other team is giving him, he's not going out there wanting to do it all himself.

This is why I would never want Westbrook on the Spurs. Straight up, Kawhi or Westbrook, I'd keep Kawhi all day.

So last night Westbrook has a monster statistical game yet his team was better when he was on the bench AGAIN. Let's check the "who was Westbrook's main assignment" statistics.

Etwan Moore!!! Averages 2 points a game, goes off for 20. Shoots 9 of 10 from the floor. Who left him to go double down on someone else and let him can the game winner???? Westbrook!! His guy was 8 of 9 on the game and he sagged off of him to give him a game winner.

Missed 16 contested 2 point shots, most of which a teammate was standing unguarded.

Statistics lie. dude is a teamkiller.
