How big of a basket case is this guy? I was reading more reports about him today and wow he's disgressed so much since 2008. He can't defend, shoot, can't shoot free throws, doesn't really do anything anymore except suck

Kind reminds me of Dwight Howard. He can't stay healthy and is a pure phony when it comes to being a good teammate.

quote:No he's not. I agree Nelson was bad, but Harris would have been getting all the critical minutes come playoff time, and Rondo is not better than Harris. The numbers clearly back this up. Both Rondo's individual numbers and the team numbers when Rondo is on/off the court.
He's still an upgrade from Jameer Nelson, who did absolutely nothing for the Mavs

So what did he actually do to deserve tonight's suspension, anyone know?

Rondo isn't an upgrade over Jameer? If you really believe that, maybe consider another hobby. Just a thought.

My argument isn't about Rondo vs Harris, it's about Rondo vs Jameer- and yes, Rondo is better than Nelson for this team. Harris had Wright to team up with before the trade, and while Devin was surviving between Wright being traded away and picking up Stoudemire, Devin and Stoudemire seem to be developing a similar connection. Granted, it's only a couple of games that Devin and Stoudemire have been playing together, but so far so good.
So, more to your point- had we not traded for Rondo, Harris still would've gotten critical minutes come playoff time, but Jameer was never going to help either on offense or defense. At least Rondo can play defense- and the numbers clearly back this up too considering the astronomical rise in defensive rating since the trade
quote:That sums it up pretty well. It was a trade well worth making. If anyone can make it work, it's Carlisle and the Mavs. I think there's enough veteran leadership that Rondo won't become a cancer that poisons the whole locker room.quote:
Your stats only show the offensive side of the ball. It was a risk trading for him, but if anyone can figure out how to make it work, it is Carlisle.
Plus minuses factor in more than offense. Rondo is a has been riding the laurels of days gone by - oh, and he's an ass who's apparently bad for the lockerroom. I agree that given what the Mavs gave up, the trade was worth the risk. That said, early returns have been bad - no way around it.

Dude Is an absolute ****ing has been. I never understood the love Houston radio had for him.
