Interesting bump. This has played out just like everybody said it would.1) Love's defense has been every bit as awful as expected and 2) The Cavs are getting plenty of scoring from Bron, Kyrie, and the rest of the team.
The unexpected things have been 1) how poorly Love's fit in with the Cav's O. I mean he's not terrible, but he's not close to superstar, and you trade away the #1 overall (who is ultra athletic and has limitless potential) + a first rounder for a superstar and 2) just how quickly Wiggins was able to come into his own on offense. Yea he doesn't have Love's broad offensive skill set, but he's averaging 16.3 pts on 43.6/32.2/75.3. That's pretty damn good for a rookie. When you then consider what Wiggins brings to the table on D, it's pretty obvious the Cavs made an awful decision.
The Cavs are rolling right now, but playoff ball, when the other team has a chance to focus, is so different (as opposed to the whirlwind regular season full of back-to-backs, long road trips, etc). I just can't see them winning it all with Mozgov, Tristan Thompson, and Kevin love as their front court. That's just too weak. Whoever comes out of the West is going to demolish them.
