This is why you scratch your head at how this team comes out so flat against Phoenix last week when you could have been matched up against a battered Denver squad instead of the runaway favorite to win the West.
By comparison, Kendrick Perkins is 46% shooting this year, and is a lesser rebounder and defender than Asik.

It's not just finishing though. That's a big part of it, but he needs better footwork and he needs to catch the ball better. But that throw down was certainly a welcome site to see

Domt forget that when we beat OKC this year, Lin was 29-6-7. We need him to play good and he is better than Brooks but I do believe Beverly should start over Lin.

It's not like Lin's contract is some type of albatross on the team.
He's making money but it's not until the third year that he'll be making stupid money.

I still think the Lin deal was good. This was his first full season as an nba player and he had to reinvent himself sfter the acquisition of harden. Look at his post-Allstar game statistics -- they are pretty good. He has the tools to be successful, with his athleticism and skills. He just needs to mature and become a smarter player.
I am glad I refrained from posting on here during the game last night or my disgust for Jeremy Lin might have gone a little overboard.
Beverley needs to start over Lin. No questions asked. He is just outplaying Lin when he gets the minutes. Hopefully McHale makes an adjustment between now and game 2.
Aside from the game we actually beat the Thunder in February where Lin had a good performance, he has has been horrid in the three losses including last nights playoff game. He is averaging in those three losses 5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 3.7 turnovers.
I hope for all of our sake that last night was the worst of it. This is a young team that is fun and exciting to watch, but they can do better....

I have a feeling that McHale will play Lin for the sake of experience over Beverly. He's not playing this series to win, he's playing it for next season playoffs.
I know Beverley picked Russ' pocket twice, but if he gets extended minutes vs. Westbrook, you'll probably just end up seeing more of this
Speaking of Beverley, doesn't it seem like every Rockets playoff team since the title runs has had some random 10 day contract guy, or street FA signed during the season that comes up big? Guys like Chucky Brown, Moochie Norris, etc?

I want to see Beverley guard Westbrook more. Beverley seems to have a knack for getting under his opponent's skin, and with a ticking time bomb like Westbrook, it could be a good strategy for the Rockets moving forward
Careful what you wish for, this is not the same Westbrook of years past.
