Tiago for TheMarcus and Neal. Write it up.

But we are close to Austin. And maybe he can do new spots for Rick Cavender. That would be a win/win for him and all of San Antonio.

I'm hoping the Lakers amnesty Gasol. Probably not likely now as Howard is out though.

Kawhi just signed a two-year deal with HEB. This can actually be really good.....or it might be a train wreck.

Aldridge's complaints about Portland being boring just makes me think of Portlandia "where the dream of the 90s is still alive."

Those are some pretty good commercials. I think Kawhi would be hilariously awkward in them.

I hope the first few have him just standing silently in the background while Tim/Tony/Manu do the actual commercial.

My draft wish list of reasonable candidates at 28

1.Gorgui Dieng (mocks have him dropping some but i dont see him being there)

2. Tony Snell

3.Allen Crabbe

4.Glen Rice

5.Jamaal Franklin

6.Reggie Bullock

Anyway, I like your list and for the most part agree. I'm not a huge fan of Rice or Crabbe. I think Gobert is worth a look because you can't teach that length. I also like Muscala; I'd rather we get him in the second (would have to move up in 2nd), but I think his advanced offensive game could make him very serviceable off the bench.
1. Dieng (won't fall that far)
2. Snell
3. Franklin
4. Bullock
5. Gobert/Muscala

Pretty similar. I just don't know about Muscala. I wouldn't mind the Gobert pick but I just don't know if Muscala's game will translate well. Him getting bullied around by Butler in the first round of the tourney just keeps sticking out in my mind.

I'm not sure about Snell because of questions about his "motor" and effort level.

Reports about this aspect of him initial threw me off as well a few weeks back but after reading up a bit and talking to a couple guys who watch New Mexico basketball religiously I am not worried about it.

The knock is that he lacks aggressiveness sometimes in a game but that is certainly things he can work on. His work ethic is very good off the court so I believe he is a hard worker and will improve.

I also like the aspect of him and Kawhi being High School teammates. Just think that's cool and them two can be a great 2-3 combo. Snell has the ability to play the 2 position.

Schroder and Adetokunbo keep dropping in the mocks because of their insistence to play in the NBA next year. Neither want to spend a year in Europe or in the D-League.

Haven't been able to follow a lot of these guys. What's Snell's game like?

Excellent shooting ability. NBA 3 pt range.

Good ball handling skills

Great physical attributes. 6'7 with 7'0 wingspan.

Can get better defensively and definitely has the tools to do so.

Cons on him have been:

Lack of aggressiveness in games.
Becomes passive, avoids contact etc.

He can handle the ball pretty well which sets him apart from the other wings in our range to me. Can play the 2 and the 3.

Very nice. Sounds like he could spot Whi's minutes.

Him and Kawhi are really good friends also and were high school teammates.

Dunno if the Spurs could pull off two guys with dreads though. lol

haha. We would still have 100% of dreaded players in the league. MAKE THIS HAPPEN RC.

If Muscala had the physicality and strength everyone wanted to go along with his offensive ability, he'd be a lottery pick. Any player in the back half of the draft had issues, but Muscala isn't just a really tall guy that can block a few shots, and his offensive game is more than dunks and out backs or being a stretch big that shoots 3s. He can score on the block with either hand and has range out to the 3 point line. Is he a garuntee? No, but I think he'd be worth a look for sure. Like I said, I'd prefer if we could move up in the second round and get him.

Spurs looking to get younger, more athletic up front. Teams view Tony Mitchell and Lucas Nogueira as possibilities at No. 28.

Everything I've looked at has Noguiera in the low twenties.

Erick Green had two workouts with the Spurs.
Sher Thing

That's probably where the "Spurs promised Green 28th pick" rumors originated. Two workouts doesn't mean they promised him anything though. Still is telling that they are serious about him though.

Picking Green would be really disappointing.

I really like what Diaw gives us.

Me too. ~$5MM is a little steep but he played a great finals. Love that guy.
Ganondorf

Maybe he'll eat less croissants and slim down and be even better.

I do hope we go for a free agent this year.

Bret Brown is the next Sixer Coach. Good thing he avoided Boston.

We hired an assistant from Indy today. Name escapes me. Maybe Pop will also give his old friend PJ a call.

I know I've been pumping him for a while and haven't seen anything that would suggest the front office is interested, but it's really setting up to make a run at Tyreke Evans. Sacramento just drafted Mclemore at the same position, did a draft and stash so we have the cap space, and I really think he would flourish in a system like San Antonio. I can certainly hope.

On the advice of his agent Arn Tellem, Tyreke Evans withdrew from the draft party today.Spoke with his camp- he wants to be a King for sure.
