Besides what is on YouTube, is anyone here more familiar with this basketball strategy?

Not any more than what is on youtube, but during my time in Iowa, I saw them perform, and saw 1-2 HS teams trying to do it, and were pretty successful.

Only thing I can add is that that style helped recruit kids to Grinnell, IA which is a high academic college in the middle of nowhere. It also helped them narrow their recruiting, which was already pretty focused to begin with (smart kids). Kids also know that 12 or so guys are going to be getting into the game if you can run and shoot.

For the HS teams, they weren't at near the extreme speed the Grinnell teams were, nor as defensively porous. They tended to just get the ball out of the net and down the court as fast as possible with shooters in spots as soon as possible. HS kids were more enthused to play and shoot in the off-season which helped.

Again, I don't know much on the specifics, but while a lot of teams try to get the ball out of the net fast, I think teams like Grinnell really spend practice time on this.

Thanks low. That's the kind of stuff I was hoping to hear.
