I admittedly don't follow the NBA like I used to, but I like to think I still at least keep up somewhat. Anyway, if you had asked me to name the top 5 leaders this year in scoring average, I would have pretty easily named the first 3, but I never in a million years would have guessed who #4 is. Never. Props to him for becoming a serious, big time NBA stud.

His ability to shoot the 3 and the lack of serviceable scoring around him helps.

He rebounds like a boss as well.

Wade's 23 points in 32 mins is pretty impressive as well.

I wouldn't have guessed #10 either.

Kobe is 16th in FG% among the top 20 scorers. Interesting that he and Wade are both below 30% from behind the arc.

I was surprised at Lebron James' efficiency. He has the best 3-point percentage among the top 20 scorers (40.5%, making just under 1 per game), and the second best FG% (54.6%, trailing Dwight Howard's 57.5%). He's having a great season. 27.5/8.5/6.6 with .9 bpg and 1.8 spg.

In scoring per 48 minutes, the top 10 is:

3. Lebron
4. Wade
5. Westbrook
6. Love
7. Rose
8. Nowitski
9. LOU WILLIAMS

I do think it is interesting that there are two guys in the top 5 from the same team (OKC), and two in the top 7 from the Heat.

Kobe's shooting % is GARBAGE.

Wade's low 3point percentage doesn't seem like too big of a problem since he shoots <1 per game. Kobe shooting 5 3s per game at 29% does look pretty bad though.
