Sadly, without Chandler, I don't really think any of it matters. Haywood is a decent C, but I think any chance at a repeat went out the window with Chandler moving on.

We'll have to see the contract before there can be any reactions. I hope for Cuban's sake it doesn't spoil his company line of having cap space for next year or Mavs fans are going to be pissed they let Chandler walk and then not have cap space on top of that...I don't think he's that stupid though.

Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Vince Carter and Dirk Nowitzki would have been a crazy exciting team in 2002. Too bad this is 2012.

Ya signing Vince would have been awesome in 2000-2001. Vinsanity used to be legit. As long as they didn't give him too much then I think its ok. This is interesting though. I'd love to have Dalembert, especially over Haywood.

No, signing Vince Carter was never a good signing at any time. He's a career loser and team cancer. Best case scenario is to use him as trade bait at the deadline. I shudder to think of what they're guaranteeing the contract at after seeing what Butler got from LAC.

Signing Vince to anything more than a one year deal would be a mistake.

Contract is 3 years starting at mle 3mm with 2nd and 3rd non-guaranteed. Not bad at all. I also like the Delonte West signing to be the primary backup PG. This team is growing on me. Staying flexible for trades and free agents while staying in contention.

Now, let's move Odom, Carter, and the rights to Roy Tarpley for Dwight Howard.
