Brutal performance tonight, but the referee certainly didn't help. That was a ridiculous PK even after replay it wasn't a foul. If anything it was a flop and should have been carded. That essentially ended the game at 3-0 and then the subsequent red ensured the route was on. This was a tough game to analyze because we played well at times in the first half, missing about 3 golden chances on goal. A game that should have been 2-2 midway second half turns into a route. We need to stop getting blown out by Vandy on the road (G also lost big a few times there).

The defending has to get better. It's just not good enough. You cannot allow an opponent to make simple passes into your box and then not mark players running into the box for easy shots on goal. Both goals in the first half were soft. But the biggest issue remains at GK. I really don't understand why Fuller is not playing. Maybe she is injured, but she was not as bad as these other 2 GK when she started last year. At this rate we will have the most goals against us in the SEC. It's just a pitiful situation defensively.

As others have pointed out, the overall talent just isn't at an SEC level. This is one of the lowest points in the history of the program when it comes to pure athleticism and talent on the ball. It's really shocking to see a once proud program being dismantled almost every game now. I'm being patient with Bobby this season because he was given very little to work with, but he needs to be very aggressive in the offseason with a near complete roster upgrade across the board. Only about 3-4 of these girls should be at A&M next season. I can see what he's trying to do on the field and it has a chance to be successful, but he needs the talent.

Are you not impressed with any of Bobby's transfers? Do you think a transfer would want to come here given the state of the team? The quality of the soccer is not great and direct play will not bring top transfers especially with little NIL as many on this forum have mentioned before

I disagree a bit. Our midfield seems much improved in terms of ball skill, toughness, and creativity. We struggle with decision making in the attacking 3rd and the back line is just very weak. We don't have finishers and we don't have defenders currently.

That last one is a violation of a trademark. I wonder if we'll press it. We have in the past when Vandy made shirts for their freshmen that said 12th Man.

Oh gosh I can't count how many times we moved swiftly through the midfield into the attacking half, passing balls to the top of the box, around the box, to the left and the right of the 18 and we didn't take one shot. Not one. Girls were wide open to shoot and they would make a dinky 2 yard pass to the girl with 2 defenders surrounding her. Opportunity was there for attacking wingers and a striker. They just play with their backs to the goal half the time.

This is 100% the issue. The amount of damage he did to the program is significant. And on Fuller it would be nice if someone asked Bobby at his weekly pc on her lack of play. My guess is it's a discipline issue at this point.

Margo Matula and Adysen Armenta started for us the last time we played at Vanderbilt in 2023 and lost 6-0. We started a transfer keeper in that game also. The only player on the roster who has not seen the field this season is Fuller. We have now been outscored 13-3 in 4 games against power 4 teams and we have 8 more power 4 games scheduled.

That 2023 team kept playing and won a game in the NCAA tournament before losing at FSU 1-0 in the second round. FSU went on to win the national championship.

Agreed and that's exactly what I said. However, things could turn much faster if we have a few big donors step up with some NIL funds. It doesn't take much to build a championship roster in women's soccer.

I am getting vibes from Bobby and I don't really think he wants to be a head coach
