Don't get me wrong, FIFA and Infantino both suck. But them Euros can ead a d!ck, too. Always quick to call out Americans for our greed and commercialization of soccer. They think their sht don't stink.

All the while they turn a blind eye to one of their own, Infantino, who rose through the ranks of UEFA. Even their former president of UEFA, Michel Platini, was caught up in the Sepp Blatter scandal.

Now they want to ride in on their high horse and try to act like soccer's savior.

I think most Europeans don't like UEFA either but UEFA have outsized power and I think you have to take it when they're on the right side.

I think there's two things beyond the obvious that warrant more discussion.

1). This is clearly a power grab by infantino to circumvent term limits. This is primarily about regime security. The money to federations was just the mechanism to try and get it across the finish line.

2). It certainly provides context for the darker moments of this World Cup: The FIFA Peace Prize, Balogun suspension overrule, the president crashing Spain's celebration as everyone knew that he would, the close relationship between Trump and Infantino (I know I'm forgetting multiple other things). It's embarrassing honestly, and is a testament to how amateur, corrupt, and self-centered structures of power have become across the board globally.

Trump warns replacing FIFA chief Infantino would be 'terrible mistake'

If these two are aligned, it probably tells you all you need to know about what side of history this will fall

So apparently FMF backing Infantino because he promises to move Mexico to CONMEBOL, which would be amazing having Copa America , CONMEBOL qualifiers and Libertadores

Was wondering when your TDS would show up. It's all you ever post on any board regardless of topic. Funny.

But, yes, Infantino is corrupt as hell and so if FIFA. Water is wet.
