Two matches remain for West Ham and Tottenham. West Ham play today at 11:30am (central time) against Newcastle at St. James Park. The Hammers trail Spurs by 2 points, so really need 3 points today. A loss or draw and they could be relegated before they see the pitch again.

Newcastle are a pretty good opponent for this time of year, if you need points. The Toons had been struggling, losing 4 straight before a win and a draw in their last two.

Tottenham don't play until Tuesday against Chelsea, so really important that West Ham claim points, preferably 3, in Newcastle today.

West Ham down 2-0 early in Second Half. Looking like a bad day for the Hammers.

While Spurs going down would have been great for the laughs, west ham going down means I don't have to hear anything about them from Rennie.

3-0 Saud United.

Tom Rennie will be insufferable on Monday.

3-1. Let's get it to 3-2 and then have VAR deny the tying goal on stoppage time. They would have to put Rennie in a hospital.

With the loss West Ham are really in a tough spot, trail Spurs by 2 points and have the potential of only 3 more points. Spurs have 2 games remaining, so a win in either will assure their safety and West Hams demotion.

Even a tie in either game would do it. Spurs have a 13 goal advantage in GD.

WHU has to win and they need Spurs to lose both.

If it were anyone but Spurs this would be over. But Spurs can always mess it up somehow.

Spurs travel to West London for a Tuesday night match with Chelsea (2:15pm on Peacock). Spurs are 2-0-2 in their last 4, a run that has pulled them out of the bottom three. Chelsea are on a terrible run, and now the FA Cup final and their hopes for Champions League football are over I am sure they will be fairly disinterested in a Tuesday night match.

A win tonight would assure the Spurs safety and officially demote West Ham. A draw would put Spurs ahead by 3 points with a game left to play and a +13 goal differential over the Hammers, effectively ending the relegation battle as well.

So will Spurs take hold of their destiny and claim points today, or will they go into the last day of the season needing points to assure safety?

Southampton kicked out of Championship playoff, replaced by Middlesbrough. Also 4 point deduction next year.

Wow, they moved very quickly on that.

...and we will go to the final day with Tottenham and West Ham still seeking to avoid relegation. Will be a wild day!

Everton and Moyes won't roll over. The former WHU manager in him won't let him. They will play Spurs straight up.

Leeds on the other hand may roll over just for ****s and grins. I'm sure the PL and FA will pass the word to not make it look obvious.

Spurs loss today makes for a fun last match day. Will be rooting hard for West Ham and Everton just for the schadenfreude of watching Spurs being relegated.

Leeds will likely be down 5 starters (3 of the back 5) due to injury for the Hammers.

They already kicked SOU out of the Championship promotion final.

Now they are going to dig deeper. I'm really concerned that City's financial cheating is going to cost Southampton bigtime.

Here we go, into the last weekend of the season with all on the line for West Ham and Tottenham. The Hammers have to be happy they still have a shot, and Tottenham have to be wondering if fate has just doomed them to relegation. Both clubs are home this weekend, so London will be full of anxiety on Sunday afternoon as one of the big London clubs will be going down.

Sunday

Tottenham v. Everton (10am, NBC, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium). How perfect is this? David Moyes and his Toffees will travel to North London with the opportunity to help Moyes' old squad avoid relegation. Roberto De Zerbi's Spurs side effectively need one point to confirm their top-flight status due to a much better goal difference than West Ham's. But that is not a forgone conclusion, despite the fact that Everton are on a six-match winless run in the Premier League. Only Manchester City and Arsenal have won more away points in 2025/26 than Everton (26), and Spurs have won just two home games all season. With an elite head coach like De Zerbi in charge, ready to take Spurs back towards the top end of the table next season, it is no exaggeration to say Sunday's game is arguably the biggest ''sliding doors'' moment in the club's history.

West Ham v. Leeds United (10am, USA Network, London Stadium). West Ham will need a win and a Spurs loss in order to avoid relegation. So what happens at Spurs becomes irrelevant if West Ham fail to beat Leeds, and after three consecutive Premier League defeats for the Hammers their supporters will arrive at the London Stadium more in hope than expectation. Leeds will come into West London having guaranteed their spot in next season's Premier League, and may have up to five starters out due to injury. Leeds have not lost in their last five (3-0-2 for 11 points) and with a win the Whites could jump all the way to an 11th place finish. Will be interesting to see how Leeds come out and play against what will be a very anxious Hammers side.

Should be a fascinating 90 minutes of football. Enjoy the last weekend of EPL football for the season.
